I think it was mentioned by Wheels that D'Antoni is a LeGarie client.

This "search" is as annoying as the GM search.

I don't give a damn about the search. It can go on until a week before training camp for all I care, I just care about the result.

Good to know all of these assistants are getting endorsements from their former boss

Did Orlando consider Steve Clifford for their HC?

PHX coach Alvin Gentry says Elston Turner could be the right fit for the Blazers because Turner has been around Steve Nash the last 2 years

    Jason Quick ‏@jwquick
"After watching that kid Lillard run the screen-&-roll, what better guy to have around than a guy who coached Steve Nash?'' Gentry said.

    Jason Quick ‏@jwquick
Gentry said one of Elston Turner's strengths is working w/ young players. He pointed to development of Markieff Morris at Vegas (20/10 avg)

    Jason Quick ‏@jwquick
Gentry also said last season he put Turner in charge of the Phoenix defense. He said Suns went from 29th to 18th in defense last season

    Jason Quick ‏@jwquick
Gentry on Turner: "He knows offense, too. He comes from being around Rick Adelman, and to be honest, we stole a bunch of Rick's stuff.''

    Jason Quick ‏@jwquick
By the way, Phoenix coach Alvin Gentry gushed about Blazers rookie PG Damian Lillard. "That kid is going to be great,'' Gentry said.

Gentry basically explained why D'Antoni would be a great fit for this team.

Elston Turner is by far my first option of the presented candidates. I'd actually be pretty happy with that hire. Canales would be woeful.

I don't think Canales is going anywhere, no matter who they hire. You do just not let a guy that loyal get away; this is the guy who says "I am a trailblazer for life".
(I would never trade Wesley Matthews either, for much the same reason.)

I'm not disappointed about the non-inclusion of Shaw or Malone; I think Shaw was out because Olshey didn't view him as enough of a teacher; which is the main thing he is looking for. As for Malone; it's possible that stuff about him being everyone's favorite was put out by his agent. I'm glad Olshey is doing his own research and due diligence.

    Absolute nonsense.

There are over 7 billion people in the world with far less money than Paul Allen, and he has shunned every superstar player in the league for nearly 3 decades, in order to avoid paying a chump change (to him) salary cap penalty while his team wallows in and out of the cellar.

Compared to any other team owner he is the absolute cheapest of the cheap.

Pretty much the 4 least capable interviewed. For whatever reason, PA is purposely pissing on the fans.

Just sell the f'ing team Paul. Go play with your Seahawks and let someone who wants to win have a turn.
