After they give out the roses at the end of the episode, they hire a helicopter to fly out to Britain. There, hunky diving instructors put our bachelorettes in skintight wetsuits and tell them to swim to Paul's yacht. The first one there gets a candlelit dinner with The Bachelor.
Who gets the dinner, caravan, the ladies in wetsuits, the diving instructors, the coaches? Are the coaches swimming or just the ladies? Will the bachelor also wear a wetsuit? And what's for dinner? I mean, don't leave out so many important details!
Getting closer. @JWQuick "Trail Blazers have informed Steve Clifford he is no longer in running for team's head coach position, agent Steve Kauffman says" "Blazers head coaching candidates have been narrowed from 4 to 2, but it is unclear who the two finalists are." "Terry Stotts and Kaleb Canales are the two finalists for the Trail Blazers head coaching position, The Oregonian has learned"
The interviews go something like this: Olshey: What are your plans for this upcoming season? Candidate: Make the playoffs! Olshey: Yeaaaaaahhhhhh, I'm not sure if your the right fit for this job.
This was such a long, drawn out, probably expensive roundabout way to hire Kanales. I've never been opposed to his hiring, I think Olshey feels he's got a Spoelstra clone.
Stotts vs. Canales? Yup, looks like Canales was the man all along. Oh well, at least the players seem to think he'll be OK.
Hope they give Canales a one year tryout and if it doesnt work out, they can search for a different coach again next year.
The funniest part to me is going to be reading the press release after they name Kaleb the coach: "After a long and exhaustive search, we left no stone unturned and in the end we felt like we had the best man for the job here all along, but we wanted to make sure." I personally don't hate the hire like some do, but I hate the contrived process; it's a bit patronizing.
It might mean something, but on the other hand Lagarrie represents well over half the coaches and managers in the league.
cixelsyD post, IMO. I think Stotts will get it with Kaleb as assistant coach in waiting to take over if/when Stotts fails.
Quick said Kaleb would bring back Bayno as his right hand man if hired. Would be hilarious if true. BRoy went to Minny partly because of Bayno, and we'd be stealing him back.
Because why? All IMO of course, but 1. He has only trained under one coach (a bad one with poor offensive and defensive sets) 2. Has never even been a head coach at the college level 3. Has only been an NBA assistant for 2 years 4. Last year he totally mismanaged time outs Those 4 things scream not ready to take over a team full time to me
Exactly. Plus, I'm worried his friendships with the players will get in the way of his ability to make difficult decisions.
