A bit more seriously: that sucks for John C if he's hurt himself. I don't like him blasting Blazers' players and I won't take any pleasure that he's injured.

I hope that he's healthy and feeling better soon.

    Zing! :)

Problem is, Mr. Pomposity himself will simply recover like a normal schmo, without the rigors of having to play NBA basketball on his repaired knee, and will then claim superior knowledge and understanding of what the players should be able to accomplish afterwards, ergo, he will as usual be full of himself and full of shit. Oh, sorry, that's redundant.

And no, I have no sympathy for that rat bastard. Have you listened to his show? Justice would be if one of his victims would bust his jaw.

With the strange and painful history that this franchise has had with knee injuries I find it funny that the guy who has brought doctors and physical therapists onto his show to "figure out what is really going on" is having knee problems himself. No, I wouldn't laugh at him if he got cancer.

Why didn't Cho know??!!! He could have gotten something for him!

Earlier this season for months, Canzano timed his campaign that Paul Allen is the worst owner in sports, to coincide with when Allen was apparently going to die from brain cancer and was fighting for his life. Canzano had the whole town riled up against Allen. Following Oregonian articles, hundreds of posts demanded Allen's head, his cancerous head. Threads on message boards did the same. Canzano is the worst scum on Earth.

Now, you not only say we should go easy on him, you use BRAIN CANCER, of all possible examples, as an illustration.

Wow. I learned about the character of a lot of posters in this thread.

Anyhow, I hope he has a successful surgery. The Anonymous Writers' Brigade will just move on to hating on the next guy, regardless.

Get well soon, and get back to writing things that give the Anonymous Writers' Brigade meltdowns!

The fact that everyone in the state hates Canzano except you--he brought that on himself.

And who knows what he did to make you his friend. How did you get to know your buddy? How do you stand him?

I will tell you this, I don't respect Quick as a writer, but he actually is a pretty cool guy when he isn't around the players or coaches. He tries to act bigtime if they are. Out drinkin', great guy. Canzanno on the other hand is an absolute prick! (WARNING: The HCP is about to name drop! )I have worked with a lot of people from Marv and Fratello at TNT to Bob Costas and I can tell you the Canzanno is one of the biggest jerks I've been around. he literally walks around like he owns the place. What a tool!

I wish PapaG would confirm that he knows him.

I wish you'd name-drop more. Who is the second-biggest jerk in the media you've been around?

I sat by him on a flight to Seattle as I was going there to work/see the Ducks play football. I've posted the story before on this board. Cool guy to me. Of course, I didn't let him know I spend hours a day logged in to a website where the Anonymous Writers' Brigade takes out their anonymous fury on him.

Seemed like a nice guy. Then again, perhaps he's just like me, so we got along?

I don't believe that's your only connection to him. That could have been an imposter. Did you ask for ID? You can't judge someone when they're trapped under a seat belt, when leaving the room would mean certain death. Of COURSE he was subdued in those circumstances. You should hold judgement until you see him in his natural environment, the desk next to the potty where he relieves his rabid foaming mouth.

When I worked at the RG I called him out jokingly about how Mark Few is never going to leave Gonzaga. The whole conversation he was studdering and I could tell he felt uncomfortable. After that, everytime he saw me he would avoid me like the plague. Like walk the other direction avoid.

You could tell the way he walked around the arena that he knew no one liked him.

He probably had you pegged as a stalker.

On a related note, are you coming in for your vegan sandwich? :)

Someone who questions his column is a stalker? You're right, I feel filthy.

I haven't made the journey out to your sandwich place yet, I don't really go out that way often.

Why is there a guard dog? If it's not there to guard, is it there for what I think it is? To catch mice for your organic vegan sandwiches?

Those posters on the telephone pole really add to the atmosphere.
