I think we should go for that Al Forford guy. Every one else will have their sights set on Al Horford. so we should be able to snag Forford on the cheap.

the problem with a "trade" is we have to give up good assets which we don't have to do with FA's, and we need to add talent not trade for it and give some up

No, Al Forford, the 3rd guy listed in the poll. I vote for him.

Have no fear, I hear he's every but as good as Horford, but should come cheaper.

I don't think spell check would have helped, it flags Horford for me. I should add it to my dictionary as I've been typing it so much lately, but I'm going to wait until we sign him when I know I'll be typing his name daily.

No matter who it is Neil goes after, I think it's been long enough...time to 'move the needle'. We have the most cap room, we have a young, energized roster and a passionate fan base. If not now, when?

Some things just don't get caught by spell check, including fat finger typos of adjacent characters.

    Many intriguing questions this offseason:
Who will be sign as FAs?
Will Vonleh be traded/what's his value around the league?
    Will Plumlee be traded?

I'm hoping for one BIG free agent signings, and on medium/BIG trade.

What I'm hoping WON'T happen? We go into the trade deadline with a bunch of cap space.

    Let the games begin!!

I think the end result will be very anti-climactic, something along the lines of losing Harkless and then signing Marvin Williams for 10M\yer and maybe Cole Aldrich for 10-12M\y or Mozgov to close things up.

No reason to lose Moe in order to sign those guys. And I personally would be pretty pleased with that pair of signings, even though big names are much more exciting.

Yep I've been thinking lately what we could give 76ers for one of their bigs they did not manage to offload on draft day and could not come up with a feasible scenario that does not involve CJ and I would not trade CJ for sure. That's why I said recently that if we can't get any of high profile centers in free agency, it could be a decent idea to move for a few role players on favorable contracts and go for development. For instance Aminu at $7M now is a great asset and we'd find teams across the league willing to give us a good deal for him, trouble is he is just one player and you could maybe make a case for Plumlee, Crabbe and Davis being valuable assets in the market. That is not enough. If we can get people like Mahinmi, Dellavedova, Powell or Bazemore on good deals then do it, we will put ourselves in position where it will be possible to actually trade for something in a year or two because back ups will be there.

Feck my life if Cole Aldrich or Timofey Mozgov are making $10M-$12M a year playing basketball.

Aldrich actually has some great advanced stats last yr but not in a starters role, I think he will likely get 10 mil a yr and with the new cap that would be "reasonable" IMO, Mozgov no
