in some weird demented world, Sinobas, the king of calling Aldridge a pussy quite often, now seems to be in the right and a lot of you back then i don't think agreed, but now that he has left are on the same lines as him. I think we all owe Sinobas an apology.
How can anyone dispute that he was soft? Instead of BEING our center and force inside, he demanded to have someone come in to do the dirty work. He was in love with a jumper because it allowed him to avoid contact. Quick said the guy wanted an MRI for every bruise and wanted an excuse to sit out games. And I could totally see it in his body language. I remember in one interview he said, "Why should I bang down low when I can just shoot a jumper?" I remember before the draft, seeing film of Aldridge at Texas, and hoping we didn't draft him. It was his body language and the way he moved, he looked marshmellow soft to me. But during stretches of his career, he played like a real PF, and he was great. I'd always praise him when he played that way, but it never lasted.
