Memphis can't sign and trade him.

Yep. No bird rights. Main reason why they couldn't move him during the season as a team would still need cap space to sign him

I just pulled off another heist:

Knicks get Tristan Thompson, 2019 2nd (from Portland via Best of Minny or LAL)
    Cavs get Taj Gibson
Blazers get Courtney Lee, Ron Baker, #26

I didn't really want Baker but his contract is relatively small and I got the #26 pick back for doing so and a a solid wing.

    Dame/Baldwin/Baker
    Lee/Finney-Smith
    Butler/Harkless/Sefolosha (Completely non-guaranteed $5.25 million)
    Collins/Bolden/Swanigan
    Nurk(Est $15 M)/Cauley-Stein/PapaG
    #20 pick and #26 pick

Could package 20 and 26 to move up or could package 26 with Baker to move down to get rid of him, not sure yet but overall I think I'm pretty set heading into the draft and free agency.

A Philly Podcast guy had this one:

    Philly gets CJ

Portland gets Dario Saric, Jerryd Bayless, Furkan Korkmaz, Rights to Jonah Bolden, 2019 1st Round Pick from 76ers (Unprotected), and a 2021 1st Round Pick from Heat (Unprotected)

This one is EXTREMELY intriguing to me. Especially if they could find a way to get them to include Zhaire Smith (maybe instead of their 2019 pick). We could also use a pick(s) to get someone to replace CJ like Middleton or Brogdon or someone like that.

I don't think PHI would offer as much as this guy is saying, personally.

I mean, the guy who mentioned is the host of the "Rights to Ricky Sanchez" Podcast and is revered by a lot of Philly fans. I'm not saying they'd do it but this is coming from them not a Blazer fan.

No worse than some of the lopsided trades I’ve seen posted here.

On a Bucks forum I saw a CJ for Middleton and Dellavedova suggestion. Some Buck fans didn't like the idea though.

    I'd do it.

On a Pistons forum they were discussing players that they were interested in trading for and CJ kept coming up but they all seemed to think he was untouchable (probably rightfully so) but it seemed like they would give up a lot for him.

    Would you guys do this:
    http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=ycuaxh6g

Blake's contract sucks but we'd get rid of a decent amount of salary too, just not the same length. Plus we'd be adding a couple of shooters to replace CJ. Blake is averaging over 25 points per game this year and I think he'd be pretty good in the Stotts' system. Kennard still has two years after this one left on his rookie deal. I'd probably do it if they threw in a 1st round pick too.

I know opinions are mixed on Blake and he sure does get hurt frequently, but I think that would make the Blazers a much better team.

One Pistons fan didn't want to give up Blake and both of their shooters for basically two point guards. If we revised it to just Blake Griffin (and maybe a throw in like Khyri Thomas) and a 2019 1st for CJ and Meyers would you guys still do it?

    Ehhh.... that's rough. Probably.

    Or this:
POR Gets: Blake Griffin, Otto Porter Jr, BEST of 2019 POR/DET 1sts
DET Gets: C.J. McCollum, Meyers Leonard
WAS Gets: Maurice Harkless, Caleb Swanigan, WORST of 2019 POR/DET 1sts

Ideally, we'd then flip Aminu for a SG but if not...

Why not go really big? Blake could be our secondary ball handler.

    Lillard (36) / Turner (12)
    Layman (16) / Curry (16) / Stauskas (16)
    Porter Jr. (33) / Turner (8) / Aminu (7)
    Griffin (34) / Aminu (14)
    Nurkic (30) / Colline (18)

I don't know why we get both Griffin and Porter and still get a 1st too. There is no way that would happen.
