How would that work for sports being played on ABC, NBC, CBS, etc? Would it not be broadcasted live on PS?
and if you have more than 1 location you want to watch TV, you have to add 5mbs to your speed total for each one, which increases the cost. Not everyone has 100mbs internet, so the whole "it's just 30 bucks a month" is company spin.
Thats correct, you would need to watch them over the air or some other way. At least that's how it was for me when I had it from like February-May of this year. Sounds like it's still the same. I'm not totally sure I understand this, are you saying if you want to watch on more than 1 tv at a time you need faster internet speed than the recommended 10 mbps? It would make sense due to the HD live streaming. Can't wait for Google Fiber to come to town. Im currently rocking the 100 mbps but my comcast speeds are all over the place.
Tivo makes an OTA DVR. I'm pretty sure the UHD/4K Bolt does OTA as well. What Tivo doesn't do is DVR for Vue. I'm pretty sure there are solutions out there for adding DVR capability to any generic video input, such as the output from a device that supports Vue.
I know Vue has a built in Cloud DVR and you can favorite shows and what not and it will automatically keep episodes to watch up to 28 days.
I just have my rabbit ears sitting behind my TV, I do live in an apartment complex though so your situation may be different.
I ordered one off of Amazon that I hang on the top of my wall next to a window. My channels don't always come in very clear, but if you live up there you'll probably be okay.
They have networks channels in some markets. They just came to Portland, I won't be surprised to see them add live local channels eventually.
Can you see the antennas on Council Crest and the West Hills from your house? if not during the day can you see the flashing light on top of them at night? If yes, line of sight, indoor antenna is fine. If not, try an indoor antenna but you may have to get an rooftop one or one that hangs out the window (just make sure it's a window facing in your case east.)
You loved the Blazers before her? She should understand. You said "for better or worse" before you said "happy wife happy life".
It's funny; we started dating right as the Jail Blazers imploded, and they didn't get good until after I proposed, so for most of our dating, I wasn't too invested. She understands but also makes no bones about hating sports on TV (she likes them live though).
My wife doesn't like the mood that sports put me in. It's really no different than someone drinking alcohol and being in a shitty mood. People don't want to be around someone that's being an asshole, no matter what the cause is.
Exactly. I don't blame her because I have been horrible in the past. I'm so glad the ducks mostly duck again.
On the plus side, I let her know about Vue and she didn't roll her eyes. She liked that we could cancel it from June to September.
