Looks like another 10-10 start to the season to me. I hear they will be traveling 51,000 miles this season. Would be nice to maybe add a team in Seattle and reformat the divisions but i guess we can't complain. We have an NBA team at least.
Nov 9th - Nov 15th 5 games in 7 days including the Clips, Suns, Rockets, Nuggets, ending with an away/home B2B vs the Raptors. Also 4 back to back games in the first month. 5 if you say 33 days. Do i have this right? 14 Back to back games? Just Wow?
the number of bask-2-backs isn't unusual. I remember one season they had 17. But I thought the NBA was trying to reduce back2backs and 4-games-in-5-night stretches to help mitigate injuries. Guess not personally, I really liked last season's schedule. I wouldn't mind that 72 game format as the regular format; with every conference team playing every other 3 times. Those tiebreak games made the season more entertaining especially with the play-in tournament on the horizon
Kind of been a proponent of a smaller schedule myself. It would make for much better basketball. But the league wants it's money $$$.
Better to have the hard part of the schedule at the beginning of the season when legs are fresh, the last 10 games of the season looks pretty good if we are in danger to miss the Playoffs, even though we are a on the road a lot.
They play on my birthday! At the Clippers They last played on my birthday 5 years ago away at the Clippers
Well is this going to get you more time at home? That would be nice I'm sure. It looks like you get the entire week home for Christmas.
It sure would be nice to play less games and play a schedule that didn't include them. Just a few too many schedule losses.
Ah yes, simple mathematics... oh well. Looks like if we get Seattle and Vegas expansion teams then we'll likely just send Memphis to the East. 15+2-1=16 and 15+1=16 instead of 15+2-2=15 and 15+2=17
I'm ok With Seattle getting the Sorry Sonics back, but i'm not a proponent of anymore Vegas teams. Too little population to be getting every sport. Until Portland gets baseball, Vegas sure as hell doesn't deserve another sport.
No such thing as a schedule loss. No excuses. That's why it's important to develop the deeper part of the bench for games like that. Every team plays back to backs. I don't want less basketball.
Oh, I totally went along with it without even thinking. I was like, "Yep, two new teams in the West means two teams going over to the East." Ugh.
Gonna agree to disagree with you there. That Toronto Game second of a Back to Back first game home after the Nuggets and 5th game and second Back to back in 6 nights is what i consider a schedule loss. Now watch them win it and prove me wrong.
