I'm still waiting for your link on these rumors you've claimed boldly. Your rep is at an all time low. Frye is playing well, but they already have their shooting bigs in the Morris brothers. They need defense to protect the paint
Listen, there definitely could be talks, but I doubt Lopez is involved. There is absolutely zero sense. Howard cannot play with Asik. How in the fuck will he play with Howard? But until Woj or someone credible says something, I'll take it like the clatter we heard about Aldridge. Shit people stirred up that meant shit.
I am not trying to shoot the messenger here. I appreciate you posting the links. But this is the perfect example of what is wrong with sports journalism today. You get one person who starts a rumor, (Mitch Lawrence) then other sources write about it using him as the source, then slowly but surly his name is left out and it becomes ......."there are rumors about a possible trade involving...........". In this situation I could care less. But there are too many cases where this type of journalism creates a lot of trouble for players, teams, schools......all because someone wanted more traffic to their blog. You know damn well that writers out there are looking at scenarions that makes possible sense, then they throw it out there using a "source".
I do agree....However the Blazers haven't shot it down once yet. You would think if some kind of talks were not going on someone would say something in the Blazers brass.
I wouldn't. You don't need respond to every rumor out there. Why give these guys any acknowledgement at all. Plus if you did respond to all of them, the first time you didn't you would make it look like it was true. (or if it was true you would be tipping your hand) I think the best thing is to ignore them all.
What's with your obsession with this team shaking up the roster? News flash, the center position isn't the problem -- depth is.
Mo has proven to be too inconsistent to be the primary scoring off the bench. I can't wait until CJ comes back.
"The Houston Rockets are seeking a trade of Omer Asik, but they have struggled in finding a package that merits his on-court value due to his $15 million salary for next season. Asik will only count $8.4 million against the cap, but the salary is beyond his fair market value. One rival general manager described the asking price of Daryl Morey and the Rockets as "delusional." Asik requested a trade in the middle of November when it became clear that he would be unable to share floor time with Dwight Howard."
Just as their fans are. Clutchcity is a prime example! Asik/junk for Love Asik/junk for Aldridge Asik/junk for Horford And now it looks like Morey wants a near unprotected (top-3) pick in the 2014 draft for Asik. The audacity of this prick. So much like KP during his Blazer tenure - Pritchslap mentality.
hahhhahahahaaa wait till the trade deadline..he will be worth two second rounders and a collection of bananas
No. You have it all wrong Asik + Lopez + LMA < ~~~ Lopez and Aldridge. But Asik isn't that good, so he'd only be effective with both of them there.
This is another one of your uninformed posts BG. Asik does not help his team rebound NEARLY as well as Lopez. Our starting 5 (Including Lopez)are averaging career numbers in rebounds. Lopez is also WAY better on Offense than Asik will ever be IMHO. Omer Asik is overrated by Morey, and most in this forum. Plus Lopez is cheaper. Lopez>>Asik Edit: Yes that's two chevrons. I'm SURE Asik would not have the impact on the entire starting 5's rebounding numbers.
Well Lopez has a team option next year and as long as he's playing next to the best PF in basketball (Aldridge) he's not going to be cheaper for much longer.
