Isn't the whole medical staff like new since Neil came on?

You should take a step back and look at how broken your logic is.

Just because the old medical staff was involved with injured players does not mean this new medical staff sucks and will fail to properly address player injuries.

The only logic is "we is CURSED!" which is not logic at all.

I think the goal for Nurkic's body needs to be DeAndre Jordan. Jordan weighs 265, and is almost all muscle. Nurkic at 265 would be an absolute beast. He'd still be extremely strong (like Jordan).

I also think that losing those 15 pounds would make him insanely athletic for his size. Think of the difference between Ed Davis last year and this year in terms of quickness and energy. Now imagine Nurkic gaining that extra quickness and energy. I think he'd be a top 3 rim protector in the league. He already has great instincts, and he's already a very quick jumper at his size.

At 265, he'd be an even quicker jumper, and would jump higher. He'd be like Whiteside.

Offensively, his rolls would be even quicker and I think he would constantly dunk over defenders. I think with that extra step he could develop a deadly faceup game, reminiscent of DeMarcus Cousins.

If he could get his body to where Jordan's is, he'd probably be the best center in the entire league. I honestly believe that. It'd also make him less injury prone than he is now.

Completely agreed; I think of how good Joel became after dropping from 280 to 260.

IIRC, someone posted on here when Nurk first showed up, that he had dropped down 35 lbs from his original 280 lb weight after his knee injury in Denver. So he should be right around 255 or 260.

One thing's for sure....he certainly doesn't look 280 to me.

He hasn't been 280 since he's been in the league. Only thing he should focus on imo is conditioning. If that means losing more weight so be it. I like where he's at right now. That's a good weight going forward.

Nurk likes to use his size too. I like him at his current weight, but would like to see him tone up a bit.

lol, I guess growing up watching years of WWF/WWE gave me a different perspective on big guys and weight.

I have a buddy of mine whom I haven't seen in a few years. But he told me once that he used to be pushing 360 when we first met. He's 6'4" and change. He sat in an office chair in my apartment once and sheered a steel bolt holding the chair in place in half.

If Nurk is heavier than 280 at 7' tall....damn, that's a big dude. I know he's not that heavy, but still.

Personally, I'd like to see him drink more milk, lol. A guy his size cannot afford a career with broken bones.

Well, the standard is 6 weeks, not 4. That being said, it should also be noted that there's a huge difference between simple shooting warm-ups and full contact balls-to-the-wall playing in a game.

But....it's good to see him moving about and shooting. Definitely good to see.

Exactly. His injury was most likely caused by a turn/twist and isn't the weight bearing bone. Just walking around and straight forward motions are probably no big deal.....he just can't twist that fibula.

He's literally jumping up and down. It's not nothing, and fits more with the narrative the team has put out there that it's minor than the one the doctors on this message board that are saying it's not.

Also no way would the team even let him do this if his timeline was actually 4 weeks. He's barely a week into it.
