Morway would be an absolute gem , on paper, anyway

When the Seahawks wanted to hire Mike Holmgren, the Sporting News reported he and his family were feted with a "exquisite dinner" at Paul Allen's home, where every course was announced in French, so the Holmgrens could only guess at what they were eating. I wonder what Morway will be fed?

Moral of the story, every potential hire should speak culinary French.

He's going to be fed a line about having complete control.

He doesn't have it now, so it might not be a huge deal. I think if uncle Paul actually backs up the brinks truck to him, he will take it. Paul is notoriously cheap with his GM's though

Hey it is the closest MM has come to giving a compliment to anything Blazer related. Just take it and ask no questions. :)

He means that, inevitably, The Ghost of Nate McMillan will fuck it all up and make MM sad.

Well I have heard that Morway would be a "Nate pick".

Do you think it's strange that Bob hasn't worked in the NBA since he was fired?

Most GMs, once gone, go on to more anonymous business pursuits. He's been freelancing. A few months ago he was in the news. He had a contract with a team owner to find a team buyer, but it didn't specify whether it had to be a majority owner. The man he introduced ended up being a new minority owner, so Bob was suing to be paid.

I'm surprised he's interviewing with his team still in the playoffs. Does that also mean we could potentially sign him before the Pacers are eliminated?

It happens quite a bit. Teams need GM's before the draft.

Does anyone know what what mickey mouse formula was used by Bert and Larry that made these two the "frontrunners"?

I agree with JP. Bring back Bob.

Bob Whitsitt always took the most talented player in the draft regardless of character.

I'd say there would have been a 100% chance that he took Faried over Smith.

He's not the GM of the Pacers so it's not that big of a deal.

Can I see that long list of GMs who have switched teams during the playoffs?

Bob was big on potential. His last pick was Travis Outlaw. He might have opted for someone else over Faried OR Smith.

His selections didn't come with the injuries either.
