Bah. Easy shots at the rim vs. tough jumpers near the end of the shot clock. Who's gonna win that matchup?

You know things are going well when Phil calls a timeout!

Batum's best game of the year thus far. Playing with TONS of confidence.

The lid is finally off of the 3-ball.

Feeling pretty good about this game so far. Batum is on fire. I like his confidence. He's not even hesitating.... just bombs away.

Batum played stellar basketball for one half. Hope he keeps it up.
How come Wes has barely played?

I absolutely LOVE that we aren't letting LA get away with putting Derek Fisher on Nic. FEED HIM!

If we can get Aldridge going and play more aggressively in our man D, we have a shot.

We have 7 starters and only 5 can play. Nate also had to play Camby more and he rode the hot hand in Batum.

If Batum plays anywhere like this in the playoffs...

...getting 24 from LA and 16+ from two of Miller, Roy, Matthews, Wallace, Rudy, or Nic? Real strong team.

They seemed nervous to start the game. Missed a lot of easy baskets. But the Lakers have not played well either. It seems like they know they can turn it up a notch when they want. The Blazers will have to play much better in the second half. It was not a very intense first half by either team.

The pathetic crowd had a lot to do with both teams' lackadaisical attitude.

Agree. It felt like we were rushing everything. This is what we have to avoid during the playoffs. Panicking.

It definitely won't surprise me if the lakers step it up in the 2nd half. Hopefully, we are able to respond
