Whether or not one chooses to pass is a different situation than not being able to do it well.

He never said they can't; simply said they don't.

I've only read the thread title. It's hard to expect a grown-up bench when Olshey has carefully picked the players to be as young as possible. He overpaid certain players, so he needs the other half of the roster to be on rookie contracts.

When he actually has a good experienced player like Ed Davis, he drops him like a hot potato. The Blazers bench will never be grown-up, by Olshey's design.

McCollums role has also changed this year. Last couple years he was asked to be a back up point guard and his assists numbers were up. McCollum would come out about the 5 minute mark and would often come back in for Lillard towards the end of the 1st and then play the point about the first 5 minutes of the 2nd. This year that role was turned over more to Turner as McCollum plays pretty much shooting guard now.

 Since his first year as a starter, his assist numbers have gone down each year. This trend is not in opposition to the past couple years; it's a continuation of them.

Well he had seasons of about 4 3, 3.6 and 3.4 if memory serves correct. Even last year his pg role was reduced as Napier stepped in often with a 3 guard lineup. One thing about assists, it's really a 2 player stat.
