Nurk should enter the game and inspire the team like Willis Reed did. th willis reed.jpg

I can still get Kate Beckinsale and Gwen Stefani to drop their boyfriends, hook up with me and they will stop aging because they're perfect right now.

Been brought up in a couple of threads, but worth repeating, IMO...

Blazers were 23-32 on Feb.13 (St. Jusuf''s Day), after an OT home loss to ATL. That extrapolates to a 34-48 record.
They then went 14-6 with Nurk, including wins over HOU, OKC (2x), ATL and close losses to WAS(!) and MIL. That extrapolates to a 57-25 record, which interestingly enough was the Cavs' record on their way to a #1 seed and the 'ship last year.
From that 23-32 team, we have lost Plumlee, Davis and a healthy Leonard. Without Nurk, we are less talented and less healthy right now than we were on a team cruising for 34-48!

If Nurk doesn't come back, there's no way we should win a game against one of the greatest teams in history. Even winning one would be somewhere between a 1/16 and 2/15 loss in the NCAA tournament. Or like MJ taking on the 86 Celts (if he would've won). Not quite "never been done", but definitely "There's no way that should ever happen, favorite should be ashamed of themselves and bravo to the underdog."

If Nurk does come back, we're talented enough that anything less than a home split would be disappointing.

not in my mind, Nurk is still out and without him our chances are near zero in win a game

One game at a time. Just win this game. Then we will talk about game 4.
Look... Blake Griffin just went down for the rest of the season. So we all know anything can happen. Right now they are playing without KD. A good shooting night and some home town mojo and this team can get this win. Get one win and they will give Nurk another couple days. The longer this series goes the better for all involved.
But they have to win a game. Simple as that.

The attacks on posters who have a differing view than the lemmings, is really too bad. Differing opinions are healthy.
