Man, just imagine if the Clippers had extended an offer to Camby instead of trading him for guys who aren't on the team anymore. Griffin/Kamen/Camby is a terrific front court rotation.
Do they mean it in the sense of a transcending player for his position? Or that he'll leave the Clippers in 7 years and become a hated player?
I don't know if it's a trend, but our 4th quarter intensity over the first two games of the season gives me a lot of hope. There is a certain grit and nasty about this team that I've not seen in years.
He plays like Charles Barkley. Great leaper, skilled dribbler, potentially dominant rebounder, nice footwork. Hard to say if he'll develop Chuck's overall skills, but I can definitely see why he was a #1 pick. He seems a little more committed to defense, though, and is around 3-4 inches taller.
Phenomenal shut-down defense in the 4th quarter - criticize the offense all you want, but Nate's defense is looking GREAT.
I like that our defense looks so much better in the fourth quarters so far, but I would like to see some of that effort early in the game. But great start to the season so far.
Our team knows how to turn up their defensive intensity in the 4th. It has saved us 2 games already with the Blazers coming from behind in both of them. Amazing!
Good offense is measured by one thing only. The numbers. Not by style points. The Blazers have a good, efficient offense. You have been right about the fact that Brandon takes hard shots - which is true for just about each and every team. This team always executes, and some of the game plan is to build on Roy's ability. It's the definition of good offense. Playing to the strength of your players. Giving the ball down low to Shaq because he is big, strong and can take a hit is good offense, even if it does not come with pretty cross-overs. Giving Roy the ball to operate and building around it is likewise - good offense. The only way to measure good offense is by the numbers - and the numbers do not lie.
Griffin looks like a stronger Amare. He's gonna be a beast, but he needs the right teammates around him to win.
