    Chad Ford ‏@chadfordinsider
Off to Reseda to see Terrence Ross, Arnette Moultrie and Jet Chang

Tale of 2 teammates: Terrence Ross can't miss a shot today. Tony Wroten missed just about everything earlier today.

Very true. I find it interesting that many of the complaints aimed at Jones echo things said about LMA before that draft.

    Re: Trail Blazers Draft Central

You're right, but I think anyone who's seen enough of PJIII knows its not just the system. He was used poorly but his response to being played in the post was to be a complete pussy and not battle. What is most alarming is his complete lack of effort on defense.

Anthony Randolph was also used very poorly as a back to the basket C in college, but he still outproduced PJIII as a freshman and always competed. Durant played PF/C his lone year of college and took on his post duties just fine when needed (he was utilized much better on offense). He was a great rebounder as well, as anyone with a PJIII/Durant body should be. Even when the Baylor coach did run iso's for PJIII at the high elbow he would almost always settle for a pull up jumper out of the triple threat.

His tools are damn intriguing if anyone ever gets him to compete at an NBA level. But its also hard to justify drafting a guy who lacks competitive fire, or even the pride/attitude to give effort when asked to do things that he doesn't really like doing. I could see him getting that fire if he went to a club like the Celtics who seem to bring along young guys well and demand intensity. Dunno if most coaches/cultures could turn him around though and what coach would ever leave him out there when he fails to box out, refuses to rotate, continuously avoids contact, plays matador defense, etc.?

Yeah, he seems to be lacking the motor to live up to his hype.

Seeing Zeller on that list makes me real nervous. He just strikes me as one of those guys who doesn't have the athletic ability to make the leap to the next level. I would take a chance on Henson first.

I've always kind of liked Leonard. I wouldn't mind seeing us take a flier on Casper Ware in the 2nd round.

The last time I saw Leonard was in the U19 games against Lithuania -- Jonas Valanciunas absolutely embarrassed Meyers.

In one game (they played twice IIRC) Meyers (guarding Jonas) finished with 0 pts 0 rebs 6 fouls.

Zeller could be a solid third big -- think Nick Collison.

    Re: Blazers draft workouts......

Reading the Oregonians article on the draft workout, just angered me. We will have a group of men conducting the workouts and evaluating the talent who might have a completely different approach than the guys we bring in permanently. Just an epic fail by this front office to wait this long to fill the GM position.

This falls on the shoulders of team president Larry Miller.

You always bring up these 1 on 1 comparisons like they mean a ton. Sabonis absolutely abused Robinson when they were in their early 20's. We all know Robinson was a bum.

I'll go off a little bit more than a head to head matchup in an under 19 game.
