I think I used Buck because LA just passed his rebound record..good point about Wicks though..Buck was never in the conversation for greatest Blazer ever and LA won't be either

Oh man, now a really bad comparison. Wicks was crap his whole time here, and faded into nothing when he left. Lamarcus was the best player on this team for years now, and I will wager he does not fade to nothing. Popovich did not get him for that role.

That would be my preference, and I argued for that a long time ago. But unfortunately it has zero chance of happening. Too many fans like this fair weather chick will rise and cheer. The only way to counter is to boo louder.

At least Drexler had the decency to see his career through to the point in Portland where he gave it his all with what he had.

Yeah, Buck was an integral part of Blazers legacy. LaMarcus will go down as the mark ass bitch who left the team high and dry. Basically what Dwight Howard or Shaq was to the Orlando Magic. Fuck him.

Clyde had all the talent in the world but he was like LA in that he wanted top billing and all the perks, but he didn't want to lead. Porter was the real leader of those great teams. The main thing Drexler was missing was heart. When they made the finals those two years Isaiah Thomas and MJ totally made Clyde their bitch, because like them or don't (and I absolutely loath Thomas) those two guys had all the heart in the world when it came to winning. It was embarrassing. This was a guy that constantly whined about being underpaid, so they tore up his contract at least twice and gave him a raise. But it was never enough. A year or two later he'd come back crying for more. I think PA got tired of his diva act, just as he did with LA. I'm still disappointed that we gave him away for practically nothing to his hometown team so he could win a championship. That was a very kind move on PA's part. Clyde Drexler did not lead those Blazer teams to greatness. That was truly a collective effort.

Lamarcus is the best player in Blazers history. He'd still be here if Wes hadn't gotten hurt so badly.

    Go Spurs!

Yeah, but again, at least he stayed to make that championship run and did not leave on the way up. I'm not the biggest Drexler fan though, most notably for your reasons given above as well as his proclivity to being recognized as a Houston Rocket and going into the HOF with them.
