I predicted the Clippers would win in 5. The top 4 teams in the West are by far superior to the other teams. But still we are the 5th best team, maybe 6th if you count Memphis with Gasol and Conley. Better than we thought. Ahead of schedule. IMO getting your ass kicked is actually a good thing moving forward. Not only for the players but the coaches and GM as well. I don't see a down side here other than I live in LA and Hate the Clippers. But we knew we had some holes.

We exceeded expectations and yes I am excited for next season. A draft pick would have helped us in the playoffs....in maybe 2019.
(if we got lucky.) But for next year our needs have not changed IMO. We need that 3rd.......guy. (Not sure what to call him, Star? Scorer? Go to guy? SF? Post Player? Rim protector? All of them? )

The problem is I just know who in free agency (Or the draft for that matter) who will be a huge differenc emaker. (other than obviously Durant. James or Drummond)

When I watched Barnes go 1-10 when he had his chance with Curry out, or DeRosan go 5-18 in a win....I don't get too confident. So I am excited for next year, but realistic that there is not going to be a quick fix.

He said "harsh reality", not "hash reality".

I gotta admit, I prefer hash reality.

Clippers may win the series, but who would really care? It's funny that some people expect others to be so outraged if we don't make a deep run. Like they need to manufacture something out of nothing.

News flash: People just wanted to make the playoffs. What happens after that is what it is.

    Oh jeez.

Somebody IRL asked me if I thought there was any way the Blazers would bring Batum back.

My response: A) he would need to take a pay-cut; and B) he would have to stop being French. Seriously - what do you say to a question like that?

I'd bring Batum back for the right price.

Sure - but what are the odds of the price being right? That's another bidding war I would be real reluctant to get into.

Keep going King. Draco 's opinion is just his. HE is the embarrassed one because he picked 32 wins. Much easier to be embarrassed when you low ball and are wrong than when you highball and are wrong. I'm pretty sure he is just butt hurt because the Blazers proved him wrong. :)

Personally, If we get swept, I would not consider you embarrassing at all. I love the continual optimism even in the face of such adversity(whether valid or not)

Let Draco live in his negative world. Dont join him. :)

Here is a serious thought exercise: imagine the Blazers were up 2-0 and I posted "Clips in 6!"

You would rightly suspect me of trolling/taunting. Is what Eric is doing really all that different? Don't you sorta suspect he is doing it just to get under other poster's skin?

And you claim Eric is the optimistic one?

Eric beat me to it. Huge difference. Now if Eric is down in the Clips board saying Blazers in 6, def. taunting. ;)

Thad Young is still dangling there. I'm guessing he can be had for a non-starter now. Same with Monroe.

    Dame/CJ/Aminu/Young/Monroe

Keep Crabbe/Plums/Davis for the bench and go after some more complementary pieces. So you lose Henderson/Harkless/Noah/Meyers.

Does that win you 50 games and get you a top 4 seed?

Exactly what I said the first year Brandon and Nate dragged us into the playoffs three years ahead of what anyone had any right to expect.

Current team would win us 50 games in my opinion. Just on internal growth, we can win 6 more games than this year.
