Never heard of SwishScout........ just checked out their latest mock......... I won't be visiting that site again son. WAY OFF!
I don't think so. They haven't updated the site since the 27th. Their draft profiles are very detailed as well.
I think he's going to be an all-defense type of SF but his jumper is weird! I don't know about that weird hitch. It's almost like Barkley's golf swing.
I think Terrance Jones is going to be a good player in this league. Kind of a tweener, but he does so many things well.
This was really a very positive lottery selection for us. not only did we not lose the NJ pick, but that pick also didn't drop as no one from outside the top three moved up. Of course the other implication is that now NJ will probably lose Deron Williams. So we need to try to get him. Trading our picks for a top center or for a medium center and a better shooting guard than what we have would certainly help entice Williams. But do we really have enough cap space to make that trade and sign Williams? That seems kind of doubtful, we don't have any high-priced filler on our roster to use in trades. Another implication of NJ losing the pick and Williams; they might be willing to trade Brook Lopez for those two draft picks. Would we have enough cap space for a sign and trade for Lopez and signing free agent Goran Dragic?
I think there is a good chance that one of Robinson or Drummond will be there when POR picks..... I don't see Beal making it to #6....Davis is obviously #1, MKG will go top 3...that leaves Barnes as the wildcard...does CLE take him given that they have Irving and Thompson from last year? SAC has Cousins and Thompson....WAS will likely take a wing player with Nene in the post and Vesely whom they took last year.... I think Robinson could slide on draft day....and yes if I were POR I would take him....he is a post player all the way, a good partner for LA who likes to pick&pop and float on the perimeter....I think you could start both of those guys...doesn't matter who is the "center" heck you don't even need to say you start a center, just 3 forwards, what does it matter anyway? How many teams out there would LA or Robinson have trouble defending? Howard? Bynum? There just isn't a lot of dominant centers out there right now and the ones who are would be difficult covers for anybody.... If POR could get Robinson and then bring over Freeland and maybe resign Hickson (if they get Bird Right's) that is a strong core group of post players.....then look to FA to sign a PG (my preference would be Dragic or Hill) and use #11 on a scoring wing player like Lamb (if he dropped), Waiters or Rivers.... Then use 2nd round picks, maybe package them to go after BPA...a guy like Will Barton, Kyle O'Quinn or John Jenkins come to mind....
I'm with you on that. The only guy I am certain of in the top tier after Davis is Robinson, and while LaMarcus is a top 15 player and top 5 PF in the league, I wouldn't quibble about position. If you can get a sure thing, take it and figure it out. I'd love for the Blazers to use the 6th and some change, light change, to get Robinson. Use Hickson and the 11th to take Lamb or a veteran. We would be a very productive team next season with Lamb and Robinson. Add Dragic or D. Williams and we'd be fierce.
You have to wait until Robinson's measurements are official. He could be another Corliss Williamson, and there is a reason he didn't explode until his junior year in college.
