Yeah, I think this is right. The Blazers have some good ways to re-distribute Roy's shots, so they can absorb his loss better than most teams could absorb the loss of their star. On the other hand, Roy is a much more consistent plus when using those shot attempts, so the team is definitely generally better off when he's healthy and playing. Bayless and Rudy can have nice games and use those shot attempts well, but I wouldn't want to count on it each game. Roy I can generally count on to use those shots well.

I'm a bit surprised by people saying that the Lakers game was terrible officiating against the Blazers. The Fisher drive block on Webster was an obvious offensive foul, but one horrendous call doesn't denote a trend. Through the game, the Lakers got plenty of calls against them, including calls on Bryant.

I also watched the 11 PM replay with this criticism of the officials in mind and still only saw the Fisher "run through the body" block as bad officiating.

Agreed. I thought for the most part, it was alright, outside of that play. Crap calls on both ends, but not enough to say bad officiating. As opposed to just one side, they let both teams play in this one, leading to low FT totals, and a good overall game. Unlike the Dallas game, where one side played playoff basketball, while the other side still got ticky tack fouls called for them.

I don't know about some ancient history that you are reaching for, but as to this I think I was plain about what I said and I didn't defend him for making a mistake, only your moping comment that you added that wasn't Joe's comment. He obviously made a mistake fouling then.

You mention in the next post that after listening again you might have got it from his dad's comment so it seems you didn't intentionally mislead.

Quick edit. I have no problem with you. You mention one other time I guess I don't know I disagree or 'argued' with you so this makes two in how long? And I have a problem with you? Sorry, no. As I said what you wrote that Joe suppose to have said surprise me and when I seen it wasn't what Joe said of course I'm going to call you on it. Sorry if you have a problem with that. You could have said 'oops my mistake' and it would have been over.

his mistake was being absent from the huddle during a crucial TO. After 5 years in the league a professional shouldn't have to be told to do this or be aware of the team foul situation on his own. This speaks to his mental issues staying focused. That he fouled Kobe was the results of these fuck ups
Given his history of moping I shouldn't have had to but I said as much in my first response relaying I gave my post a half second of thought after watching the video link. You chose to continue to be a prick saying you'd never trust a thing I said again and characterizing my post as misleading and BS. It's pretty well established that he has issues moping. Not sitting in the huddle because he didn't think it was necessary is pathetic and unacceptable. Saying he was moping is being gentle about such a grand fuck up, yet you decided to call me out again.

Lastly your contention that I'm a critic of Martell. I'm a critic and fan of every Blazer. I've praised MW many times this year for improving his D up to an acceptable level. I also praised him for coming through with the 6 FTs yesterday. Unfortunately in general he still can't dribble or finish around the hoop and he's still mentally weak which manifests itself many ways. Thank goodness Fisher bailed him out on that ridiculous 3 point heave, but how stupid was it to attempt a running forward 3 point shot? His offensive positives are the same one trick pony it's always been... shooting open set shots. This is his best year by the PER rating at 12.5 which equates to a below average player. Sorry that I'm willing to be objective about the play of one of the least productive and maddening players on the team.

Adding he was moping was not being objective, if you think it is then you don't know what the word means.

I only said the injection of the 'moping' was BS and I made that very clear. You are trying to add all this other stuff.

I even finish my last post saying it seem you were not trying to mislead and then I seen the last of your post saying I had a problem with you and that was so ridiculous I editted my post to respond to that. So I was just replying to your post not pricking or whatever. Sheesh. Maybe you should think about what you are posting as to the reason you are getting the reply you are.
