Deng has higher potential than Batum. But Deng keeps navigating his head into his ass for large stretches of games, playing way below his potential.

I don't think so but I dould be wrong. I have a feeling Detroit is going into complete rebuilding in the off season and Stuckey and Prince are the two guys he will build around but maybe he would build around Armare instead.

I suppose we'd be able to sweeten that deal by adding Outlaw. Think about it. The Pistons could start Iverson, Hamilton, Outlaw, Stoudemire, and Wallace. If they could gel that could be a nice mix and a nice change for them.

Regardless, Stoudemire would fit in well and play Piston ball. Great way to reinvigorate that team and the town. I like it!

It really wouldn't make sense for the Nets to trade Harris for Stoudemire. What's the point? You're giving up a top-5 PG for a top-10 PF. At best it's a lateral move.

If we obtain Amare without giving up Bayless, Roy, Pryzbilla, Oden, or Aldridge then I think you have to make that move. Maybe we can play Aldridge at the three and maybe not but the pink elephant in the room is that Oden is proving to be injury prone so far. It might make a lot of sense to have another dominant big man to ease the pressure on Oden and to minimize the impact his injuries have on the team. In the future we could always (gasp), trade Oden and keep the rest. I'm an Oden supporter but he's not as good as Amare or Lamarcus right now. I do think it would be a mistake to trade Bayless right now. He has an amazing upside.

Deng and Hinrich would appear to be a massive win for us, but I can't help thinking that I'd prefer a number of other deals instead. Deng's contract isn't too bad, but I would want a more sure-thing. His decline in numbers this year and past injury problems freak me out a bit.

Roy and Amare are already bonding.

If they got Amare for that they would not trade him or LMA. At least not until this summer. Why rush it? See how it works out. It would be interesting to say the least.

I hope they are because you never know with KP. I think he won't let Amare go to another team unless it would cost us LMA, Roy or Oden. Anybody else we could include to get him.

Another interesting deal could be with Charlotte - sending Amare to them for Wallace and Augustin. I'd be all over this, in fact, I'd prefer this to any other deal. Not sure if Charlotte would do this though, out of fear that Amare wouldn't stick around.

Amare would be very familiar with Diaw and Bell. That chemistry could vault them into the Playoffs. They are only a couple of games out. We could sweeten the deal if necessary.

I really like Augustin's game. I think he has a more solid future than Bayless.

Man... that would really remind me of when we had Reef and Zach, and trying to make that work. I think it would end up pissing someone off.

I doubt the Suns would be interested in that trade. They want to save money and get below the luxury tax.

Yep. The only reason I could see for keeping both of them is if Nate and KP disagreed about which to trade away. Then maybe you have a bake-off for the rest of the season. But that seems kind of stupid, now that I typed it. If they can't figure out which to keep right now, well, they aren't very good. Neither of these guys are rookies or are coming off injuries. They know LMA, they know what they'd be getting in Amare.
