My guess is the sentence "you're our guy" was uttered

It could be that Monroe would rather "be the guy" than be a cog for Aldridge to be the guy. What if Monroe is waiting to see if Aldridge decides to stay? Meaning, if Aldridge stays, he's going somewhere else.

Some of the comments he made about how Pistons threw him under the rug and made it Drummond's team could sway me in that direction.

I feel like our major summer acquisitions will be Aminu, Monroe and trading for Hibbert. :(

I would rather start Meyers than trade for Hibbert. What a waste of space.

If we were to land Monroe without Aldridge, we would need another serious scoring option. Who would it be? I know it ain't Hibbert, so don't think I mean that. I just think it could be the move to bring Monroe here. I mean since both are under Falk

Bright side is Hibbert has only one year left on his deal. Maybe he rehabs his value here.

    But I still prefer Meyers.

If you play Monroe, Leonard is much better suited to pair with him. Leonard would basically be LMA light.

We could always hope that LBJ comes over, we trade for Hibbert and Leonard is our starting PF! ;)

No doubt we need a young stud SF who can score, but Monroe , Dame and CJ (Whether he starts or not) are 3 good scorers.

We should make an attempt at Tobias Harris and start him at the 3/4 with amino. Along with Monroe ,sign a 2/3 shooter (Gerald green), a big defensive center (koufos) and a backup defensive pg (poor mans Beverly)
    Lillard Beverly
    green Cj Henderson
    Amino, hendo/green, Tobias, crabbe
    Tobias, Myers, plums, Noah
    Monroe,Koufous, plums, Myers

No, without Aldridge, Batum and Matthews, he sees a sometimes clutch-shooting PG who is not a great distributor and is not good at defense and a bunch of guys who have not proved yet they are above average players. I would go to Milwaukee if I was him. Or go to LA and hang out with the movie stars. (ha, ha, just saw that tweet just as I posted this)

This is the real confirmation that Aldridge is not coming here, need to go into plan B immediately Olshey. Consider a new coaching staff while you are at it!

Look on the bright side, if we suck, we might be able to get Sabonis' son next year!

I think we take Wojo's tweet as a sign Aldridge isn't coming back.

Put away the pocketbook and save the cap space. Play the youngsters. We'll be a lottery team for the next three years, and that's fine by me. Time to gather assets and focus on improvement from within.
