    Most likely 0-2.

LMA is a perimeter shooter, end of story. Just from last night, I can only remember 2 times he even drove to the basket.

I don't see us winning the game. We aren't good enough yet. Period. Hope I'm proven wrong, but gauging from last night, there is more work to be done and 2 days and traveling to a very hard place to win a game isn't going to help.

0-2. Sucks, but it's the likelihood.

    WRONG….

    http://scores.espn.go.com/nba/shotchart?gameId=400488888

According to the shot chart, Aldridge had 7 shots in the paint. He also had another 5 shots 14-16 ft. In fact, he only had 10 shots outside of 16 ft.; which actually is 42% of his shots were from the dreaded 17-21 ft complaint.

Okay. I was wrong on that, however. 15 of his 22 shots were outside the paint (I only count paint as actual paint) (68%)

If we're not feeding lopez for easy buckets, we're still a perimeter team 68% of the time (obviously averages will fluctuate as the season goes on). That concerns me still.

Aldridge was unstoppable on the block last night. They were forced to double team him every time. It's what happens after the double that we need to improve on.

Or when Lillard drives the lane and gets doubled.

It's kinda weird seeing that he missed 4 of his 7 shots down low, within 3-5 feet of the basket. He was taking contested shots down there all night instead of dishing it out.

I don't disagree that Aldridge needs to live in the paint more. I think there needs to be a couple double screens and some pick and rolls for Lopez to get easy buckets. I think at the beginning of the game, we were forcing things too much and had some passes that put the players in bad positions to score.

    Does concern mean upset?

I never said upset. Just that he is still showing sign of timidness towards being effective in the paint and banging down low. Was 3/7 in the paint last night, most contested shots instead of finding the open guy. Concern and upset are two completely different things.

I'd agree with that. Batum was god awful with the ball last night. There were at least 3 times I just lowered my head and said "Really?"

Those 4 shots had the defense hacking the shit out of him. If you recorded the game and watched it again, you would see what I'm talking about. It was sooo blatantly obvious and the refs swallowed their whistles.

Him and Matthews really blew it last night with passing the ball. Mo Williams had a few times where he was heavily contested and Lopez or Aldridge had openings down low and he chucked it instead of passing it in the paint. That was the most frustrating thing I saw last night. Mo Williams was, by far, the worst Blazer on the court last night. I hope that changes tomorrow night.

He scored 28 points and shot 55%....what is there to be "concerned" about. I'm not one to blame refs, but I saw 3 times when he took it to the hoop, he got hit and no whistle. So he should of had roughly 33 points on 19 shot attempts and you are on here actually bitching about this?

I have LP, so I will probably watch it (hopefully tonight, LP has the worst blackout regulations known to man) again.

That's what I'm saying though, LMA needs to recognize down low when he's getting doubled. (easier said than done, I understand), and dish out. I never blame the refs (except Scott Foster on that goaltend call. Still one of the worst calls I've seen), because of a double team shot attempt. These are NBA players, and if they are taking a shot against a double team...

What's the main gripe about LMA? That he's not going down low.

My thing is, is for the most part, when he gets down low in the paint, he can body people up pretty well. I just want to see that more, and he seems timid. I want to see him improve that part of his game, and it concerns me. I don't think there's anything wrong with that.

And again, concern and bitching are two completely different things. Coaches have most likely said to LMA they would want him to get in the paint and score more points. I don't think they are bitching, are they?

As for the refs. I never fault them unless it's readily apparent they are jobbing a team. (Though that does seem often in the NBA, sadly.) And last night wasn't the greatest reffing i've ever seen... it's not the reason we lost, either.

Infuriated me. Wish it would have done the same to LMA. Yell at the ref's, get a T!

Completely agree on Williams. I know I probably came off as a troll last night, but I was frustrated as hell. I was venting, and sometimes it comes off dickish. So any apologies there. But now that you mention Williams, there was another 3-4 times I lowered my head and said "Really?" It reminded me so much of Crawford it made me sick.

    Aldridge 5 FTA

    Love 16 FTA

    Lee 9 FTA

    Ginger 10 FTA

These are pretty much the guys LA is compared to as best power forwards in the game. I'd like to see him down low creating FTA personally because that is a stat that usually means wins

I am not angry, disheartened or think the world is ending. It's just an observation of one game to go along with a pattern over his career that he tends to drift away from the basket a bit too much

LA's career average is 4.2 FTA per game.
