Man I don't click on links that have to do with Canzano/Quick/Jaynes or Blazersedge! You know this son!
So my son's PS4 is in the basement tv room. Was thinking if I do this, I'll have to bring his playstation upstairs to the family room, but I could just buy a Chromecast or Amazon stick huh?
You've been working for the Blazers how long now? Doesn't sound like your family has much interest in what you do.
It's weird. They will all watch big hoop games when I'm around. But this past 2 seasons, they have really gotten interested, especially the kids. They usually head over to my in laws, but I hate that they have to.
You only have to get the $35/month package to get CSNNW. It works great on my Amazon Fire and because of the $35 package, get the games on TNT as well as a bunch of other channels.
You are correct. I missed the CSN logo on their channel listing for that plan. When my contract with Comcast is up next spring, I will probably make the switch.
There's some new, improved Rokus coming out next month I think, so wait to get one. The current ones don't have the actual channel guide that the PS4 and Amazon stuff has so the new Rokus might be able to have the guide to make it seem more like a tv service.
Btw, does Sling TV have the Blazer and the History channels? They have the Pac 12 Channel and Vue doesn't, so it would be annoying to have to subscribe to both.
No, though Sling said they are working to get CSNNW. It was in an Oregonian article over the weekend. Sling does have the History Channel on its' most basic package ($20/month).
This. Was going to correct as well. Had Sling, loved it, then realized over this past weekend that Vue had it on their $35 package and jumped ship. The value on Vue FAR exceeds Sling, in my opinion. For the channels I watch, I get way more with Vue at $35/month than I do for $40/month with Sling. And that's before factoring in CSNNW on Vue. I have a couple of refurbished Roku 3's I picked up for $30 each. Worth every penny and works well with the channels we stream and the Vue. BTW, for those wondering.... the Vue supposedly lets you stream on 5 TV's simultaneously. We've had 3 going.
34.99 is the base package that includes CSN. You can stream channels on your iPhone when you are not home, but CSN is the one channel they do not allow you to stream on your phone. You can also DVR every game.
Cool. $35 a month for Blazer Games for the family..... so is that close to $3 a game.... seems worth it.
One of you geeks please do the math for me. How much per game? My family can watch the TNT/KGW games with out this.
I was wrong on the new Rokus, it looks like they're already out on Amazon, and they don't have the best reviews. The new Amazon Fire Stick runs the better Vue with the guide and I think it's only 40 bucks.
