That was very thoughtful of you to post that for The HCP. Too bad there is no possible way he reads it. The information overload would likely cause El Hefe to be mid-siesta by the third paragraph. A for effort, though.
BTW, there is no such thing as a Sony Vue gift card. I'm just setting up HCP to go beg his big boss for free shit. Muhahahahahaha!
That's a Playstation Store gift card, not a Playstation Vue gift card. Yes, you can use a PlayStation Store gift card to pay your Playstation Vue bill. No, HCP's big boss does not have any Playstation Store or Vue gift cards. That was the joke. BTW, Fry's does occasionally sell the $50 Playstation Store gift cards for $40.
WTF! @SlyPokerDog ?????? I was just about to post I had one got one for myself to help the momentum of this!!!!!!
Thinking of getting the Amazon stick......then activating Vue. Little over $3 a game is what I figured. Thats worth it if you ask me.
So I'm thinking about Vue instead of comcast for tv. I can't find on their website where it allows you to put your zipcode in to figure out what local channels you receive. Anyone know what local channel news channels for weather that you receive with vue? Yamhill county, 97128. KGW/KPTV/KATU/KOIN/PDXTV. Only need one, not all. Only quoted you because you're around the area I am.
The interface on the Roku is horrible. Very hard to find stuff. So it really depends on what platform you're using.
No. You can watch Vue on a number of platforms, IE your Playstation, but also a Roku or an Amazon Fire stick.
It's in the upper right corner next to the Orange "Start free trial link". Mine says Portland; Rip city oddly enough. I live in Ridgefield WA. either way you can click that to change your zip. I don't believe local channels are offered in our area yet though. I use Amazon Fire stick and am amazed at how great it has been to have every Blazer game either live or waiting for me when I get home. The core slim pack at $34.99 is the cheapest plan that has CSN. We kept our Dish network for everything else, just reduced it so we didn't have to sell our least favorite child.
Make the switch. We haven't regretted it for a second. Especially with Amazon Prime and Netflix streaming that we were paying for. Plus, we're in an area for OnlineNW. Fast as Comcast, but way cheaper. They have two options (if it's available to you - pretty much Yamhill County plus a little expanded only). $30/month and $45/month. Plus, if there's a problem, they usually come out the same day. We had internet shut down about an hour before they closed for the day, called, and we had someone at our house in 15 minutes.
Oh, and no contracts with OnlineNW. We started at the $30. The wife and I sometimes work from home, and between that, and the possibility of 3 TV's operating at the same time, we upgraded to the higher speed. Works amazing.
I don't understand why the interface for Vue on the Roku is still so bad, Charter cable just updated their Roku app and it's better than the cable box channel guide, so you know Sony is capable of putting the PS4 interface on the Roku.
