Why on earth did the Pelicans trade away Lopez again? Their center position scored a combined 0 points and nabbed 3 rebounds tonight in 21 combined minutes. It's like they're not even playing a center anymore, theirs suck so much.

I think some forget that the team got off to their best start in years with a lineup of Lillard, Matthews, Batum, Aldridge and Lopez.

It's not time to freeze out LA

Apparently they thought Tyreke was worth it at the time.

We'v had a smaller thread, can't remember what one but it was 5 or 6 pages at the end of the game.
I only got a chance to watch the second quarter then my wife made me go to the store and got pissed I walked around with ear buds in listening to wheels announce the game lol

When is "when it counts"? All the games count and we have as high of a seed as we have now because of how we played in the first 30 games. It all counts. No playoff games have been played yet though so to sink Aldridge at this point is pretty stupid and pointless. What happened to all your positivity? Two losses in Texas completely killed the season for you.

Also, Aldridge and even Matthews were on some media outlets' MVP ladder. Why not cheer MVP for Aldridge? MVP isn't officially announced til the second round of the playoffs. Can no one cheer MVP til then?

    Nic Batum becomes 4th player in @NBAHistory to record 22+ pts, 18+ reb, 5+ ast, 4+ 3PM...

I don't care what the stat is........... but if only 3 other players in the history of the game have done it, good or bad, I'm impressed!

Well, he averaged 16 ppg in GS, I think, so he didn't hit a career high tonight.

It worked. Got us a win.

No he isn't. No they don't. They're responsibilities increase but they don't play better. It is much easier for Lillard and Batum to get open shots with Aldridge on the floor. Aldridge makes their lives' easier.

No he's not. In what way, is he better? We were at our 24-5 best when everyone played.

Ummm no Aldridge and no Mo Williams made this a necessity.
I would be. I watched first half on my phone and listened to second half on radio. I will watch second half when I get home. It is sad that there are only 10 pages without me. Where is everyone?
    Yep!
    Exactly.
That is so awesome. I so proud of how all the starters stepped up. Wright, Wes, RoLo were all great. Barton, sadly, wasted a shot to prove himself, but the starters were great.

By the way, I listened to NEw Orleans radio announcers and when Lillard hit the three to tie the game, one of them went "uh oh." It was classic.

And my criticism of people not being in this thread for games is not that they stay away because they're busy but because the opponent isn't exciting. Even without me, this thread would've been 30 pages if the game was vs OKC. That is what I'm critical of.

And two quarters completed killed the season for you, if we're going on that route. :) Season isn't killed for me. I just notice things. I don't need to be a full time homer. If you think the season is killed for me, then you are wrong. That's your delusion, not mine. :)

Also, save the MVP chants for March/April. That's my stance, and it will never change. So leave that alone. :)

It's true. NOLA isn't exciting, except for Davis... and when he bolts for LA, NYC, or Miami (How sad that it most likely is that predictable), they REALLY won't matter.

    When did Batum play PF?

Play Watson more minutes? Stotts seems to be immune to giving some people minutes.

Man, that Anthony Davis is some kind of player.

Of course, he'd be a lot better if he'd stop shooting so many mid-range jumpers. Either step back and take a 3 or get his ass to the rim for a higher percentage shot.:devilwink:

I wish LA played defense like Davis. He's probably the best defensive big in the game.
