We need a 3rd option on offense and I always like Monroe in Detroit so maybe this summer.

I think Olshey will/should go after Al Horford.

Our offense has been extremely effective; we have the fewest post ups in the history of the NBA.

Instead of the lack of a post player being a weakness when will people realize in today's game it's a strength?

I wouldn't say it's a strength to not have a guy that can score in the post. It certainly would be alright to have a guy that could get easy buckets down low. Plumlee has been more successful at this than he's ever been, and he's young so maybe he could do that more consistently.
However I do agree that if this guy, like Monroe, interfers with your spacing because he can't stretch the floor, that becomes a major problem especially with a team that is this guard oriented.
I think Hendo is your best 3rd scorer right now and he has a nice mid range game. I also think that the production on the offensive glass is just something we should expect now..I mean Tristan Thompson got a pretty big contract solely because he's a great offensive rebounder. Ed Davis is right there with him. But still it's always nice to have a guy that can get easy buckets down low if DL or CJ are both struggling.

Golden State couldn't score to save their lives in the last 6 minutes of game 7. When things get tight and the refs swallow their whistles on all that contact, you need to have someone that can create in the post to get a bucket or create a double-team. GS had none of that and no way to combat all the physical contact.

Not sure where the link it but I heard that somewhere as well. That Portland had a historically low number of post up points this season. That is too far out of balance no matter how successful we might feel this last season was.

You do it of you don't have to give up any real assets.

At the least he could be our Enes Kanter off the bench.

As of late February, the Blazers had the lowest season since 2004, according to the 12-year-old Synergy Sports.

Either ESPN or Synergy could answer the question, did we set the record for the whole season.

So I guess knowing what little any of us truly know about the intricacies of the league, do you think Neil would be making a mistake bringing Monroe in....assuming he is still interested? The Cavs showed the world that a good defense will usually, at worse, slow down a good offense. Should Monroe, a horrible defender, be someone we are pursuing?

IMO he should be option E or F, if we strike out elsewhere since he is like a 1 yr deal with his player option next yr we could give him a shot but only if he's capspace and maybe a 2nd rdr

For all the melting down the Warriors did, if Green doesn't get suspended, they win this in 5. Bogut hadn't been injured yet and wouldn't have been attempting to play more minutes,. The Warriors were up 3-1 with momentum and going home. Then Green gets suspended, Bogut gets injured and it allows Cleveland to get back into the series.

That said, Monroe is too one-dimensional for me given the back-court's defensive inefficiencies.

Seems like a bit of a baseless statement. Green was amazing in game 7 at home and they lost. Who's to say they wouldn't have still lost game 5. Green is not the reason they won or lost. The defense on Curry and Thompson was
