They almost seem to be in that window forever.

I agree but I am wondering if the can still lure guys in on the cheap on the premise of getting past GSW and OKC and CLE. Undoubtably this is Tims last season unless he retires this summer anyway which has been indicated is possible. Outside of LMA and Leonard the Rey of the team has become very Meh. I know they will find a way to win and have success but it felt like this season truly was the last hoorah before they settle into lower seed land.

Sweet, we'll remove Coach McScribbles as our offensive coordinator...

    Oh wait.

The spurs are done unless they upgrade their backcourt. They should spend their money there instead of frontline

All it is saying is how much room can be made by each team. I suspect our current RFAs along with Hendo could be renounced if we think an upgrade can be made. Example if we renounced Meyers and Hendo we could offer a contract starting around 16.5 mil.

I don't think he's worth the $14M, but we'll see what he's willing to take. He signed with the Bulls for 2 seasons at ~$7.5M when he could probably have gotten more.

He was an all-star in the east the past two seasons. The Bulls won 42 games with him and Butler as the two stars and a decent mix of vets and young rising stars (recent draft picks, Mirotic).

I'm all for us signing him, but it depends on the cost. At $25M/season, I'm not so sure. The opportunity cost (who we have to cut loose) seems way too high.

I would cut Meyers for him, the other two guys seems like too much. Although with Turner Hark might be renounced.

Yeah it will probably come down to which one gets the bigger offer. Leonard or Harkless

If we were to sign Gasol before an offer sheet was signed we could control that part of the equation. Everything gets super dicey of our RFAs sign offer sheets before we get FA contracts signed. We need to hope that Neil has really expressed to these guys to hold off a couple hours before signing offers.

If we don't land Gasol I will not be heart broken. But talk about the potential for a great passing lineup with him, Plums, Turner, CJ, and Dame.

I will be heart broken if we do sign Gasol... He will be 36 to start next season, is a slow plodder at this point, his game can completely fall off the cliff any day now, he does not make us a title contender! Absolutely ridiculous to give up on players like Meyers or Crabbe, or even young guys like Alexander and Pat in order to sign 36 year old Gasol and give him 30 min a game... Yuck. PLEASE DO NOT SIGN GASOL NEIL! What a panic move this would be... Stay with Lillards arc and sign Biyombo or trade for Kanter... But please do not sign 36 year old Gasol!

I'm not going to get my hopes up on Gasol we are mentioned along with the Spurs as being the 2 he is most interested in. The Spirs in this circumstance are hard to bid against though we could pay him a bit more. If he comes here great I would love it, but if he heads to the Spurs I honestly can't blame him.

BTW it appears most of the FAs not currently in agreement with teams are holding pending the decisions of Horford and Durant.

I tend to agree with you on this one, unless part of the investment was to mentor Leoanrd for a year or two. A young Pau is a good
    goal for Meyers.

As we sit right now we could bring back everyone but Kaman and Roberts. I still think renouncing Henderson and using his 9 mil cap hold would be wise, maybe Austin Rivers at that point. We would be banking on Meyers and Vonleh to develop but that's not a terrible Gamble.

I was the one of the few and first to be positive after alot of stuff happened and i try to be positive BUT Spurs VS Blazers for a FA --- Winner - Spurs

I really hope i am wrong but the Spurs are like the model franchise and Gasol was linked to them very early and i believe most experts would say even before FA unless something crazy happens Spurs Super Big fav for his services. When the Blazers lose out to the spurs for Gasol while i might be a little bummed at least i can understand why Gasol would pick the Spurs over Portland.

It makes more sense. If I am 36 do i really want to hang out with a team that is all about 10 years younger than me? I would take less money to go to the Spurs. If Gasol really wanted to come here I might change my mind, but I don't see the fit.

Gasol would be a great fit offensively, and underrated smarts defensively. Personally I would like to see him added but depends on who you lose those young guys could be nice trading chips to bring a bigger name in here. Best way to add a key guy is make a trade not FA and we are two good to get a good draft pick.
