Draftees get interviewed and asked the same questions by tons of different reporters everywhere they go. He is probably just sick of answering them. Anyhow, I have said before and will say again. I would love to get Psycho-T on the team. I think he is exactly what we need. Of course I would love Blair too, before T. But I have no issue getting T. I think he will go higher than expected. I bet Utah will take him at #20 if no one else grabs him sooner. We all know how Utah likes their white boys!
No doubt Utah takes him at 20 if he's still there to backup Millsap. I think in Freeman's story today he wrote that Hansborough would not be available past 20.
Beacuse it's true, we all know it's true, and have discussed it to death. The whole team and the coaching staff knows we need to get more physical. Hansbrough was just stating the obvious, painful truth. BNM
Portland's back-up power forward was soft/finesse. The Blazers as a team were one of the best rebounding teams in the game and had a strong interior defense. So I would dispute that it's a "truth" that the team is soft or finesse. Like most/all teams, it has a mixture of toughness and finesse.
I agree that we're fine at center, but beyond that, the team is soft at all other positions. We were manhandled in the Houston series, by Artest, Battier, Scola, Landry and Hayes. I love LaMarcus, but he is not a banger. He has improved his low post scoring a little, but he's still mostly a jump shooter and a below average rebounder for his size/position. I suspect many of the young Blazers will gain toughness as they gain experience, but to speed things up, I'd love to see them get an infussion of toughness at the back-up 4 - either a cheap vet, or through the draft.
