My understanding is that if it's submitted to the league it is match or lose him. You could still trade after matching, but not to Minny. I'm also not sure what the time limitations are on trading Batum if you match him. Is it December?
I believe trades are off the table. They either match or they don't. Nic accepting the QO s also off the table. However if both sides agree I think they can rip up the offer sheet.
My only question is whether or not it was written on a college-ruled, sheet of yellow notebook paper or a Taco Bell napkin ...
If his salary increases more than 20% (his will) it's Jan 15. "Normal" FA's like Felton would be Dec 15.
If the Blazers, Wolves, and Batum all three agree to cancel it they could. But I don't know if that's actually ever happened before in the history of the NBA. But in theory they could then do a sign and trade.
So the wolves wasted their amnesty on Darko, a guy in the final year of his contract, and now they have to scrammble to fill a lot of roster spots after losing Beasley, Webster, Darko, Miller, and perhaps Anthony Randolph.

I'm sure they will, but you have to admit that it would be funny if they had matched within an hour of receiving the offer.
