Yup. Would have preferred we brought back Hassan for minimum and gone after a wing. Zeller might be a better fit but he isn't much of an upgrade talent wise over Kanter.
Looks like it worked! Of course Dame can always say "at least I've been to the playoffs - you just got traded to Cleveland"
https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/z/zelleco01.html Zeller has a double digit assist% on his career. What the heck lol. That's pretty good for a center.
Ok so now it’s pretty much confirmed it’s the minimum. That’s wild. That’s a deal, I would take him over Rolo easy.
You know, I watched just one video and it swayed me. Not sure if it was posted here Actually it was this one! I figure he'll give us something to appreciate for sure. He's talented, and if he's legitimately hungry then who knows. He could be a difference maker in the playoffs and that's always high demand.
We need @Mediocre Man to inform us on the statistics and overall success rate of The FA vs The Drafted WABC
Huge freaking "if", but "if" Nurk and Zeller can stay healthy most of the season this would mean solid D, Solid or bet O and great passing bigs for all 48. Damn this could be nice (IF)
I would love to know what the plan is if either Nurk or Zeller go down. Both have had their fair share of injuries, not unlike most bigs, but like who’s our third center? Would they just go small ball with Roco? Seems they could really use another 4/5. Could even use the two way on one.
only 3 guys named Cody have played in the NBA; and only two guys named Damian; and one named Jusuf on the other hand, 39 guys named Steve have played
Yeah that fucking sucked. We need another backup big. I think it should be a big 4 that can play the 5. The funny thing about the two way contract idea is I'm pretty sure that's what Watford is but we obviously want someone with more experience and the fact is we could have someone with more experience. If we wanted to we could throw the TPMLE at Markkanen and see if Chicago matches. Doing the same with Vanderbilt could make sense as well. I love the idea of having Phys Ed back. That would be really cool with me.
Davis plays C. A few seasons ago, Davis played at PF when he was paired with Meyers, but he didn't do well at it. Stretch-4's and all the tall SF's masquerading as PF's are just too quick for him. He's not a tweener big...not in the new NBA
