Doing a deep dive in his games, his build is pretty similar to Lillard. I wouldn’t say he’s small. My guess on his actual height is 6’1. I’m not sure about his listed weight, 225 seems a little high, but he plays strong. Absorbs contact well. Also a good rebounder for his position. He’s a pest on defense. Good hands and instincts. He also said he really focused on improving his mid range/floater game last summer and he credits that for the jump he made this season.

Guy definitely belongs in the NBA, and his makeup screams Blazers, so I wouldn’t be surprised at all if this was a move with the future in mind.

Yes, but to be fair, none of ANYTHING matters. We are stardust in an indifferent universe.

A reminder: the Heat signed Kendrick Nunn just before the end of the regular season last year. Hoping we get similar results!

Yeah he was also an undrafted guy that played well in the g league.

    Nunn

    Pretty similar numbers.

How would you compare Adams to Shabazz Napier? Without looking closely, they seem similar.

Adams plays stronger (good at the rim, rebounding) and is a better shooter imo. From the g league games I watched this season, Adams is (or has the potential to be) a three level scorer. I also think he’s a better passer. I don’t wanna keep bringing up Lillard cuz that’s a crazy comp but he has a similar combination of athleticism and strength.

The g league favors guards. Frazier wasn’t a good shooter in college or in the NBA, but he put up numbers in the g league. Adams has a better track record as a shooter and is bigger, so there’s a better chance his game will translate.

Blazers need a backup point guard. Hopefully he has a Billy Ray Bates Effect.

Backup point is probably the biggest need going into the offseason, depending on how Collins handles the four (although I’m pretty sure they’ll give him a full season before making a judgement.) Portland’s system relies too much on their guards for it not to be, and up until now, I only saw one pure point guard on the roster.

Is Adams that guy next year? Who knows, but I like his chances. They didn’t just draw his name out of a hat.

I know it's just a highlight reel, and a G League one at that, but I see a lot of Chris Paul in his style of play and game management.

With any luck, he'll turn into our next Martel Webster.

But remember how Luke Babbitt looked like Jerry West down in that league. This kid won't play. I can understand people being interested in a new addition to the roster, but cmon.

You really think so though? Instead of who? Take into account Stotts' history of rotations.

This offseasons point guard class is awful! Most likely can’t afford Dragic and Vanvleet, and outside of those two, I wouldn’t really be interested in anyone over Adams. The only other guy that interested me was Cameron Payne but the Suns locked him up.
