What did our bench average LAST season compared to what the new bench averaged LAST season?

What's the NBA record for the most 3 pointers made by a team in one season. With, Nic, Wes, Damian, Wright, Williams, McCollumn, and Crabbe, that's one whale of a lot of 3 pt chucking potential. And that's not even counting Meyers Leonard. ;)

    Re: Mo Williams!

Starters averaged 81.9, team averaged 97.5. Roughly 15.

    This year's bench?

Mo averaged 13 in 30 minutes.

    TRob 4.5 points.

    The rookies (CJ), ZERO.

    Am I missing anyone?

Lopez is a starter, so I didn't count him.

    Re: Mo Williams!

a better question would be, what did the bench average last year compared to Mo Williams himself.

Last year Mo had a PER of 14.5. It will feel so good to have an average nba player coming off the bench.

Rudy, Aldridge is our backup center. Leonard will be the third string guy.

Come on BGD, you can do it

    Lillard/Williams/Watson
    Mathews/CJ/Williams/Barton
    Batum/Wright/Claver/Barton
    Aldridge/Robinson/Claver
    Lopez/Leonard/Freeland

If anyone Crabbe is the odd man out IMO. However Stotts has shown to be pretty good at mixing and matching rotations.

If Houston wanted to sign Mo they could have just SIGNED HIM THEMSELVES. They still have the damn room exception.

Mid-season CJ will be the starting SG.

    I'm calling it now.

Watson is a better PG that Mo is. Mo is more of a SG and for that I see a lot of Lillard and Williams playing together. Then there will be times when you could put Batum at SG and Claver at SF and go big. You also forgot Crabbe who very well might be the steal out of the whole draft and he's a SG. Sorry I just don't see a lot of time for CJ. If I'm CJ I'm kind of worried. You know what the say "It's All about First Impressions." What can CJ do that Mo can't do?

CJ is a shot creator. Mo is more of a spot up shooter. We now have a ton of shooters on this team but not necessarily guys to create offense. Nic can do some, Wes can't do any. So I could see a great opportunity for the other players to space the floor with their spot up shooting then let CJ create off pick and rolls or drives to the hoop. If the defense collapses on CJ he kicks it out for open shots if the defense plays him straight up he scores it himself.

No. You have it backwards. Crawford was awful on the court for us but a genuinely nice guy in the locker room according to many including our very own HCP who knows the guy.

    Sweet.

Why are people mentioning Crabbe and Barton as though they will demand regular minutes. Those guys could barely cut it in summer league. Watson was brought in to be a 3rd fiddle. CJ will be a primary backup.

Yeah, I never understood the whole "backup" thing in the NBA. Why don't they just sign 5 players and play them 48 minutes a game? 2nd units are so redundant.
