I am allowed to mount a shotgun on the hood of my car and shoot the snow off the road.

I’m starting to believe the guy with a flame thrower on top of his car was not so crazy after all. And he wouldn’t need to buy chains to drive in Portland.

The tail pipes 4’ above the car would eliminate the problem of snow blocking the exhaust, and blowing up the engine.

This guys knows something, bet he works for some secret government agency.

It is. We have tree branches snapping all over the place in my area and we are expecting more snow this afternoon.

OUCH! Hearing reports that the Cavs landed in PDX at 5:15am but Blazers had to land in Seattle at 3am & bus down.

so the cavs were stuck at the airport while the blazers were sleeping on the bus.

I am curious why they didn't just fly into Redmond (OR) airport and bus from there, would have been a shorter flight, and a shorter bus ride.

They are requiring chains on all cars now.

    Redmond?

Can you even land a commercial jet there?

Drive over Mt Hood in a major snow storm?

This sounds like the start of a Misery sequel, Blazer team bus slides off road. Lillard wakes up in strange cabin. @BigGameDamian looking down at him, a strange smile on his face. "Hi Dame, I'm your biggest fan...."

at that time it wouldn't have been that bad over the mountain, all they needed to do was commit to a plan to do that and they would have been ahead of the storm pretty easy

The storm was dropping snow before the game in LA even started. They would have needed a flux capacitor to get a head of it.

ahhhaa, didn't know that. I still find it crazy how unprepared Portland is for this type of weather.

I get that, but with how advanced all these weather prediction tools and such supposedly are, how do places get so far behind?

Because people are stupid. "Stay home, snow is coming!" "Oh fuck that, I've got a truck. Me drive when and where I want! 'Merica!"

Most major cities, especially those with hills, are unprepared for 8-12 inches of snow dumped in a short period of time.
