Great....1 win against a sorry East team that would be miles out of the playoffs in the West. I was just going by what one of the commentators said tonight but I mis-quoted. Apparently it was 0-11 against Western Conference playoff teams out of their last eleven games. Since that is who they would be playing, it seems relevant.

I'm less worried about 'right' and 'wrong' and more concerned with how the Blazers are playing right now.

I'm looking forward to seeing the Blazers without LaMarcus. We'll get to see more T-Rob! More free flow and less fade away jumpers. We should trade LA for a pick and use the cap space to sign someone else. 2 for 1.

Well, for what it's worth, we don't have a game on the 26th of March, 2014... so it'll be factually inaccurate regardless. haha.

Brooklyn is a legit contender. Best record in the NBA since Jan 1st. 3-0 against champion Heat. If you're all about what a team has done lately, Brooklyn should be your top pick to win it all, not some "sorry East team" because of how they played in Nov/Dec.

I'm okay with trading LA... but for a pick and cap space? He's not that old.

You are overreacting to a few weeks of just above average basketball. You want to trade a guy who led us with 31/25 in a win over Houston? Or his 44 against Denver? What about his 38 vs OKC? Aldridge is a top 10 player in the NBA. You don't trade that.

The following seems fitting for the end of a game thread:

We're a step slow right now. Our passing hasn't been crisp and we haven't been taking care of the ball.

There's nothing left to do but to work for a win against New Orleans.

The Spurs are the best-rested team in the league because they use their bench. Always have.

Stott's Blazers are pretty much the opposite of that. That's the only edge they had on us tonight, although it's a double-edge. Tired starters and a discarded bench that doesn't really feel like part of the team.

So you're saying The Blazers should play in the D League? :dunno:

    That's one way to win a title.

D League's got playoffs, right? :ghoti:

Exactly. Splitter was about as good as Meyers at a similar year. Splitter's minutes were slowly increased, while Popovich seriously tried to improve him. 4 years later, Splitter can be counted on as a solid sub who sometimes starts. If Stotts were serious about player development, he'd give all his subs a few, but increasing, minutes every game, and demand improvement in return.

You are kidding right? Splitter was a star in Spanish and Euro league ball for years before he came to the US. The Spurs drafted him knowing it would be years before he come to the US because of contracts and how little rookie contracts paid.

I saw video of him years ago on NBA TV and his game and footwork were light years ahead of Meyers. Comparing the two is just nuts.

The Spurs kicked the Bulls' asses a couple nights ago. They played 13 players.

They're also the hottest team in the league (or close to it). Something like 9 wins in a row.
