If Przybilla is a good hope for the 7th pick in the draft then we blew the pick

Does he remind me of Joel? Yes.

Do I think he’ll be better than Joel? Yes.

    Potential cons
He doesn’t seem to have great hands
He doesn’t seem to have an offense
He seems to plod and is slow

    Potential pros
He seems like a great rim protector
He seems like a great screener
He seems to be a decent passer
His shot, while snail slow, doesn’t look bad

    Fair.

Also fair: for every good pick there will be a better pick. Think of all the Blazers' good picks - very few of them were the best pick in that draft. Brandon Roy? Rajon Rondo was picked much later. CJ McCollum was actually a top five pick in his draft - great right? Except Giannis was picked later. Now should our FO be trashed for NOT taking Giannis? Well, I've certainly trashed them (and not least because we took CJ when we had Dame!) but literally nobody knew Giannis would be that good.

PLUS: sometimes you need an unsexy player to make all the other players look good. James Worthy was taken two picks ahead of Dominique, but he was absolutely the better player for the Lakers. And even our own Ayton: if the Suns had beaten the Bucks in the final, nobody would be talking about how they should've taken Luka instead.

I think Rupert has clearly passed Murray.
Rupert and Walker for 9th and 10th men.

I don't see Rupert and Murray playing the same position. There is at least a 30 lb difference. Right now in my mind, Rupert is a 3 and D guard. He can shoot the 3, he can finish, and he is active on defense. But he can't create his own shot yet.

This was an epically weak draft, might have been the worst of the last few decades. So you need to think of that pick as a typical years #17, and the pick we traded for Deni as typical #24. If we trade Grant for a package with Knecht its like acquiring pick #27 which is nearly a second rounder.

In that context finding a Pryzbilla role player is fine, so no thats not a blown pick.

Blowing it will be thinking we have some sort of a chance for wins that have value this year and missing out on a top lottery pick in an epic historically great draft - a year after we had the 3rd worst record in that horrific draft.

Well, there it is. Once the draft has occurred, one G league games shows us all the future on the drafted player.

But, we can still complain daily about team failures.......so there is that.

It's interesting that Rob Williams is making an appearance in Vegas at a time when every exec from every team is also present.

For veterans not on international teams - nearly half of them have been in Vegas, so no I don't think this means anything.

It's on NBA TV which can be part of League Pass with League Pass Premium. or a separate channel with your cable/streaming subscription.

    Love Clingan's passing.

Something I haven't seen mentioned, if Clingan's man is out guarding him at the 3-point line, who's protecting the hoop for the other team?
