That's why I'm not gonna read it until the game is over. I like enjoying the game and not read trolls getting hard ons

This is the NBA. The reason is......because they were at home. Opening night. Phoenix came out and played well. Same as the Lakers did last night and are now down 30 one night later on the road. Fuck how many years does this happen especially on opening night? Every fucking year.

I agree with those that think the defense was the biggest problem for the Blazers. If the defense is going to allow this many easy basket and points in the paint to the Suns, it's going to be a long season.

I call BS on this one. It's Stott's philosophy. Live by the 3, die by the 3.... It doesn't make a bit of difference what the score is. Blazers are going to be shooting a LOT of 3s.

There were too many times when someone had a lane to the basket & gave the ball up for a kick out. Most of the time, the pass was off allowing Sun's D to recover.

I also think there was too much "cute" basketball being played by the Blazers. Too many hook shot passes, behind the back flips, and such. Please just play fundamental basketball. Go with the clean basic play.

That's actually a good take. We went away from what we did in pre-season. We played muscle ball and tried to play finesse with Phoenix

Both fair observations. I would add that Ole' seems to have failed rather miserably in giving Stotts a deeper roster to work with.

Why should we put up with continued forum mediocrity?

15 out of the first 17 games have been won by the home team in their opener.

    Disappointments of the game.
The main thing is this team does not have an identifiable style of play that they can count on other than shoot the long ball.
Phoenix is not a very good team but Portland loses the points in the paint and the fast break game and then the Rebounding and the shooting percentage game
Portland does win the three point contest!!

Lillard is playing gunner and Stotts ought to know better. Portland is not going to be a winner with their star PG getting 4 assists while missing 10 shots.

Then we have Leonard parked on the Bench. It is nice to see Freeland playing better, perhaps even much better, but this team needs Leonard to be ball player and he needs coaching
    to make that happen.
The quard have got to get a game going with the big people on this team and I don't mean chuck them the ball and watch them shoot. Get them the damn ball going to the hoop!!!
Like Dragic and Plumlee more than once.

Okay. I feel better now. We all said our advancement this season was based on how much Lillard improves and the results are great. An easy 32 points. Mo Williams will never play that badly again. Despite everything, we did play better for most of the 4th quarter. I look forward to the next game. Playing at Denver's home opener is basically a losing proposition no matter what team you are. Hopefully, we'll relax and make it a game.
