I would think that package is attractive though. Three young, cheap players with good starter to all-star potential in Harkless, Noel, and Vonleh plus 4 future picks is nothing to sneeze at. They'd have cap space to try to sign a couple impact players to put next to Wade and great role players in Harkless and Noel, and they'd also be set for the future.
Well, ask yourself if you'd trade Lillard for Harkless, Noel, Vonleh and three picks (it's not four picks, one was an option to swap picks). Not to mention, a pick four years in the future isn't really super valuable. It's not like three 2017 first rounders. I doubt you'd trade Lillard for that. In fact, if a fan of another team suggested a trade like that (substituting non-Blazers of similar value for Harkless and Vonleh), I'm pretty sure you'd be outraged. And, personally, I think Butler is better than Lillard.
Lillards done more with less. The only thing Butler has on him is defense. Lillards a better scorer, passer, ball handler, leader..
I wouldn't give that much for Bulter your take away 1/4 of your team plus your future in picks for 1 player that might have chemistry problems in the locker room. Teams don't give a player of caliber of Bulter if there not chemistry problem. The only other reason is Paxison is most stupid individual trying put a team together. Plus Wade went to the Bulls because of Bulter.
Would anyone really be surprised to see the Bulls blow up though? They are one of the worst run teams in the NBA, imo. They have talent and location yet always make dumb roster moves (like getting rid of Thibs and adding Rondo to Wade and Butler).
