Reporter: Coach Kerr, The Blazers recorded an NBA record in threes tonight, what is your response. Kerr: "Fuck my life."
If we get Parsons it really makes me think we are going to go hard after Howard as well. We wont' be able to max him but if we coudl give him a 4y/70+ he might be enticed by that.
Crabbe will improve, Harkless will improve, Plumlee will improve, Aminu will improve. It'll be like trading those guys for slightly better versions of those guys.
Shoutout to all the guys who might not be back...Kaman, etc..Roberts..last season was the first season in all my decades of being a fan that I loved every player from the top of the roster to the bottom of the bench...they were just great...Frazier, everyone.
Gasol is 2x the player right now than Kaman was in his prime. Only reason I'd hesitate is because I'm not sure we are a contender just yet.
I think Howard is about to graduate from the 12 step program of growing up. They say bigs take longer to develop. If he sacrifices big bucks for success and character and comraderie, he'll want to be part of what we're building here. Health is my biggest concern with the guy...I have faith that Dame, CJ and Stotts can control the locker room and assert their calm confidence on a guy like him. He doesn't choose Portland, Portland chooses him
I have to wonder if the Blazers structured Parsons deal to be back loaded so maybe a little easier to get Whiteside after various other moves like re-nouncing players and maybe a trade or two.
I was thinking along the same lines...might Whiteside's be back loaded too? Is that how you get both?
