It’s being reported to be a ten day. That leaves Olshey the option to go after a buyout, should a guy like Porter become available. If not, RHJ gets signed for the rest of the season.

Fun fact: Last season RHJ had superior “RPM wins” to the following wings

    Otto Porter
    Jae Crowder
    Andrew Wiggins
    Demar DeRozan
    Derrick Jones Jr.
    Moe Harkless
    Rodney Hood

For a mid season pickup, this was a good move. And with time I could probably convince myself he’s a better pickup than Porter would’ve been.

Is Porter a good player? Seems to have sputtered at best, but maybe the change of scenery would help.

Here’s Porter this season vs RHJ last season. The minutes per game were comparable (19 vs 21,) so this isn’t even a case of mop up minutes vs rotation player.

maybe we don’t even need Porter.

Got to think all of his minutes will come from Nas, if he plays.

Simons will be out of the rotation again.

Kind of meh. Too bad he won't take some of Melo's minutes.

know what’s funny/sad? RHJ has a better assist % than Simons.

Yes, I remember the discussion. I agreed with you. He is a solid choice to help with depth when and if we match up with the Clippers and Lakers.

With Little and harry hurt all the time, we need a vet banger that can come in and help defensively.

Not really a great fit other than maybe during certain situations?
Someone earlier in the thread said something about taking Little's minutes? I sure hope he doesn't.

Yeah he doesn't fit our $hitty defense mold.

I really think Rondae could stick on this team past this season. He does a lot of things this team needs. Can't shoot obviously, which makes him unplayable in the playoffs, but as a minimum depth piece? I like him more than Melo.
