    Ariza + Hezonja = 14.7 * 1.25 = 18.375

    Gordon's contract = 18.1

It would have barely worked. Kinda wish this went down, since we get the kicker of dumping Mario. But I'm happy with Covington, I think he's a better player than Gordon, but Gordon has youth.

Covington is better fit but I'm just glad they are realizing the urgency of making trades in Dame's prime.

    CJ/Collins for Paul George.

    Dame
    GTJ
    George
    Covington
    Nurk

That's a championship contender. That's a really good defensive team that can stretch the floor. Three guys that can guard multiple positions. That team could win it all. We would just need a decent bench to go with it.

Not sure who would hate this offer more, Dame or the Clipps lol!!

[Jokes aside, I love it, just don't think it has a snowball's chance in hell of even being in the ballpark]

Add Hood, Melo, Nassir, Gabriel and a backup 5 and that's a hell of a team.

The Clips definitely need a ball handler that can score. I don't think George fits that mold very well and neither does Kawhi. I think CJ would thrive on that team. We would probably have to add in more value though.

Agree that it works on paper/hypothetically. I just don't see a major market team like the Clippers -- especially fresh off them insisting that they're title contenders -- selling a player like PG13 for that kind of package. It's just not how the league works, practically speaking. Without a couple 1sts to throw in or some really intriguing young players to add, I just don't think this is really realistic (plus PG and Dame's beef...) but again, fun to think about/hope for!

I definitely agree that there are hurdles that might not be possible to jump. How bad is the feud with PG and Dame? How desperate is LAC to win with Kawhi? I don't think their team is built well enough to beat the Lakers. They need a lead guard.

Well said. I think there's also competition -- would Philly move Ben Simmons for PG and would LAC prefer him? What about Tatum in Boston with their 1sts? What about the FA market? Playing with Kawhi and PG in LA is going to be a draw to a lot of FAs, so do they think they could fill their need there with a Dragic type? I tend to think so, but certainly something that Neil's hopefully exploring...
