Its protected. So unless you think we’ll be a garbage team next year, not sure why you care

Why would I care about draft picks? Because any team that struggles in the free agency needs them. And next year is supposed to be a deep draft. Assets are always important. Having said that, I am ok with trading them, but I would be happier if we still had next years.

Starting to think ET is coming back, he'd be great in the locker room though, on the court not so much

I like this move. Covington plays with a lot of energy, that will be great when the fans are back. He’s a streaky shooter but his defense and hustle make up for it IMO

Our only pick this year is #46

Depends on if Lillard plays like an MVP, Nurk takes another step and Millsap isn’t washed up

Two mid-to-late first round picks don’t matter. Good trade

Yes, we got Hassan's even though it was the last year of his deal. It doesn't matter how long a player has been on a team, just that the contract was three years or more.

I was thinking the exact same thing. If we get Wood to agree to a contract we could trade CJ to the Pistons in a sign and trade and get at least two first rounders for him.

Dame, Gary, RoCo, Wood, Nurk, probably around 12-14 million in cap room freed up in the Wood trade, Zach, MLE, Hoodie would be an amazing rotation.

He's a UFA, I realize we might not have the cap room for him but who knows what his market will be and does he really want to stay losing on the Pistons or win here?

I agree, he's the better defender, look at his three point shooting, his athleticism and age. I know you didn't know who he was a month ago but catch up.
