None of the above. Tonight was only Oden's 73rd game in the NBA. He's young and raw and mistake prone and while he will help us win some games, he will cost us some as well. Just gonna have to deal with it.
Thank you. I wouldn't say "sucked" but it wasn't a good game. He had a good start and then fizzled despite finally being given minutes. He's still very awkward on the court.
I agree. This might have been Rudy's best game this year - and certainly his best on the defense. That's good news. Maybe he is starting to shake the early season slump, and not a minute too soon.
I've never said that I hate GO. I just have a problem with people hating Outlaw and Blake disproportionally.
That's retarded logic. There was all sort of shit said about Oden. The kid is still learning the game, and nobody expects clutch free throw shooting from him. When you're Blake, and you're just an adequate starting PG on this team, you're expected to do those little things. That's the role of a guard. People like Oden, want to see him succeed, and feel he has a sky high ceiling. Blake is a retread. I think people are more looking at him and asking why is he given the role he's given. He's not good enough for it. So naturally, it's easy for people to be upset and ask why he's given so much free reign. We saw Blake choke down the stretch last year. In the playoffs. In the regular season. He cost us a couple games last year with turnovers late in the game. The one that really pops into my head is Orlando, but there were others. People are tired of his weak shit, and are ready for a high-caliber PG to run the show.
So you have to overcompensate against a guy most of the board likes? That's like saying you hate it when people abuse puppies so your going to go kill a box of kittens.
It's not that I'm harping on Oden so much as wondering why people harp on the other players when they have so-so games but Oden is blameless.
listen... oden was awful tonight. blake was awful. webster is worthless. we dont have a sf. thats why we lost....
This is correct. But famous people cannot be expected to remember facts about the little people, but I thank you!
Hey, choking the game away in the 4th quarter, it happens. But I hate losing a game due to bad (or corrupt) reffing. It just makes me thing, God, why do I even follow this sport. I'd like to see Bayless get more PT, and less of Steve Blake. The damn hawks have punked us twice now. Once at home, now on the road. Nate McMoron plays Steve Blake 40 minutes. And what's up with the Blazers in OT? We have a horrible record in OT, it's like we get kinda timid. Once the game goes into OT, I usually assume the Blazers will lose.
No, I don't think everyone hates Blake. I think everyone wonders why the hell he's given the role he's given, because he's not good enough for it. Their anger and dismay about the situation gets deflected at Blake. Blake would be the best backup PG in the league. But he's never going to be the top PG that could help us take this thing to the next level. And people are tired of seeing him put in that role.
Are you kidding me right? How about Nate pulling Oden at the beginning with no fouls. How about in the 4th we shot 3 pointers with a point down and ATL in the penalty. If you don't let them run and gun and control the game, then call the last few position. Nate is an idiot. The refs had nothing to do with this game. We should never gone to OT. Held them to 60 point through 3+ qrts. Thank you Nate. We beat bad teams by having more talent. It is time to coach or get a fuck out of dodge...
When did you tell me you were a woman? When? How could I remember something that was never told to me? Little people? What are you talking about?
i'm confused as to how you don't see other people talking bad about oden. you mean with all the time you've spent here, you haven't seen people being really negative about oden?
