    "This is my fucking city".

Same thing he said when he hit his first ever game winner at the RG.

I've personally always liked Ralph Lawler. Mike Smith is a douche though.

Watching first half again. The chemistry is already so great between everyone. The combinations that have worked seem endless.

That is just too funny. "60% of the time he works every time".

It was definitely a good game, but the Clippers aren't exactly the Spurs on defense... I don't mean to sound negative, because I loved what I saw. I just want to see it again!

Yes but the great thing was how we were able to match their bench with our bench. We had so much trouble with the clips last season because their bench wore is out. The fact our bench was able to match them point for point is a great sign.

He used to be one of my favorites. It may be that their team just irritates me more now that they are winning. That along with having players I dislike I am probably being too critical on their announcers.

Statistically speaking they were one of the best teams last year guarding against the 3pt line. But certainly the intensity is not there for preseason.

It sure looked like Doc wanted this win badly. The starters had a lot of minutes and it was being coached like a regular season game from both sides.

Just a couple things... If you think we can gauge anything about he actual success of a team or its rotation then you are kidding yourself, though it is much more reliable than using 2k15 as your yardstick. Preseason is when coaches get their chance to try different combos and run them through the paces. 2nd the Blazers bench will be much improved this season, people seem to forget that most rookies need a little time to adjust to the league, as in 1-3 years depending on position (Guards transition easier). So IMHO it's a little naive to expect that CJ or Crabbe last year were at the peak of what they can offer, though I repeatedly see that mindset in here.

Exactly. I'm happy about that too. Their bench was supposedly better too with Hawes in there. I like what we were able to do in the 4th... it helped that we had CJ McLillard hit that clutch three!

Man if CJ can be close to his contribution as he was last night, the league is in trouble! I know his numbers won't ever be as high, but the quality of his contribution on court is important. Our bench last season was soooo bad, watching leads slip or deficits going deeper, it's going to be really refreshing to see a bench that can hold a lead or make up ground.

I could see a closing lineup of Damian, CJ, Will, Batum, LMA that could be really hard to defend. Lots of slashing and shooting potentially.

Not sure I want Barton in at the end of the game... I'd rather have Lopez to be honest, just to set picks.

If CJ, Kaman, and one other player can average 10 per game (I know Kaman can... CJ could too), our bench will be exceptional relatively speaking. We've got blue collar guys, slashers, spot up shooters, and a decent distributor to get them the ball. I'm really hopeful.

Yeah I agree. that is the 5 I envision on the court at the very end of a ball game when we are substituting offense for defense every timeout.
Dame, CJ, Wes, Nic and LMA.

LA setting a pick and rolling, Nic and Wes out wide spreading the floor, and either Dame or CJ with the ball in their hands to initiate the play.

That isn't a good clutch 4th line-up IMO. I want more defense, then allow it to be Lillard Time.

Your option is interesting though. Maybe in the middle of games.
