    No answer for Nene. Ballgame.

The game last night eases the pain.

    Cunningham should've made the rookie/sophomore game. It's a travesty.

Well, nice effort for most of the night anyway. This game had 'L' written all over it thanks to the schedule makers.

It seems as if every game we play in Denver is on the second night of a back to back.

Why don't the schedule makers realize that PDX-DEN is not a reasonable b2b situation?

Good effort. Just ran out of gas in the 4th. The Spurs win definitely makes this more palatable.

Portland is not the only team in the league that gets unreasonable B2B's. Stop complaining.

    I wasn't complaining. I was saying it's not reasonable.

    You said the same thing.

Actually, outside of home game b2b's, Portland (and Minnesota) would be the most likely team to have odd pairings of b2b's, due to Portlands location and proximity to any other NBA teams.

Whereas Minnesota is far away from other western conference teams, they're close to many ec teams. Portland has no one close to them at all.

The California teams are relatively close to Portland, and there's 4 of them. Not as packed in as the east of course, but most of the teams in the west are more spread out.

Which is why a division realignment is desperately needed. The "NW" division is all over the place. PDX is the only team that is actually in the "northwest"

The divisions don't really mean anything...

All it does is guarantee that the teams in the division face each other 4 times each season, but most conference teams face off 4 times a season anyways.

Classic post-win letdown game. Ugly crumble at the end there -- I sure hope they're hungry for revenge when Denver comes back to Portland. And Memphis is Memphis. I'll be worried about them if they are ahead of us in a month or so. Until then, I have faith in their ability to spontaneously implode at any moment.

Thomas Jefferson changed that in 1803.

Despite all the strugles last season, the Blazers were actually a pretty good road team. This season - yuck.

This is a case where I tend to blame the coaching staff more than the players. Having a better bench would also help, as perhaps the starters wouldn't be as vulnerable to fatigue.
