Roy going 8-25 is what killed the Blazers the most. Batum going Martell on us hurt as well.

BS. It's not college. You can take the ball out of bounds at midcourt. And you don't need more than 2 seconds to hit a game tying three.

And we needed to take it so there was enough time on the clock to get another shot.

I've said my peace about this game. Sucks we lost but we've still won 8 of our last 10. Looking forward to our next game. We have three full days off to work on things we learned from this last game.. Playing the new look Mavs at home on Thursday. A team we could end up playing in the first round. Let's go get it!

    Go Blazers!!

Time off doesn't seem to help our offense...

I hope these last two games from Roy piss him off to the point he turns into the guy that averages 28pts on 50% shooting like he was earlier this season. The whole team as well should be pissed that they let this game slip away.

Hopefully this game can fuel them going forward. I like the Blazers chances against the Mavericks on Thursday.

Phoenix is a pretty damn good team, and it was on their court.

Can't win 'em all I say.

Our offense is fine, we just need to play the game like we play the first 3 quarters. If we can tell McMillan that the 4th quarter is really just the 2nd or 3rd quarter. We'll be fine. We keep losing when it becomes Roy+4 players in the 4th. We don't play the team game in the 4th quarter.

Every new game just tells me that Aldridge is never going to be that consistent 2nd option. He'll be a nice role player on a good team but just isn't a go to player. He's a slightly better Joe Smith.

KP, the writing is on the wall. I don't care what you do, kill somebody I wont tell, just find a way to bring in Bosh.

probably because the more they practice it, the more they realize just how crappy and easy it is to defend it.

Btw, I think this is the game we look back at as the turning point of the season (as far as playoff seeding goes). We lost an ample chance to gain a game on Phoenix, San Antonio and Oklahoma City tonight, and fucked it away.

He's way better than Joe Smith, that's a horrible comparison.

Rudy not being there didn't help.

When Phoenix ran the zone we had no one that could break the zone.

Maybe I was exaggerating, a little, but their games are eerily similar. Both are big men that resort to jumpshooting and porous defense. They both disappear late in games and they're both not the answer as a 2nd option. Like people thought of Smith when he went to Minnesota.

I'm not talking about the Joe Smith now, but the Joe Smith BEFORE he was traded to the Timberwolves.

Nicolas missed a lot of wide open 3's, and he's actually a better 3pt shooter than Rudy. Perhaps rudy could have been the hot one tonight, but pretty much everyone was cold.

Fuck this game was huge. OKC and SA play tomorrow and the Blazers would have moved another .5 up on one of them to add to game they could have moved up on them if they had won tonight. At least they'll still end up moving .5 on one of them, probably SA.

    Still though, fuckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

I couldn't agree with you more. That three second Technical he was just sitting in the key with nobody around. Then a little while earlier he blows the lay up.
I also agree with you on Andre. As good as he was in the first half he was as bad in the 2nd half. The three he shot with 20 seconds on the clock was ridiculous and the ESPN guys even said so. They even said he is a 20% three point shooter. Then he was going to shoot that last three with no questions asked even if there was someone open.
It also didn't help that nobody else could make a shot.

It doesn't matter because the team we match up the best against (of the top 4) is L.A. I'm perfectly fine with the 8th seed.

I disagreed with Jon Barry about when he was harping on Batum for taking that three with less than a minute to play, but damn another shooter wouldn't have hurt tonight.

I would rather play Dallas if possible. I actually want a chance of making it past the 1st round.
