enjoy basketball much? I personally like to celebrate some draft success....we don't get to do that very often....if you have a standout rookie, making comparisons is fun...projecting is fun...and I've yet to see one Blazer fan call Collins a bust or talk negatively about his game....I mentioned he needs to gain 25 lbs...that's hardly projecting negativity

Complete speculation, but they might hide the guy they think is worth signing; they see him plenty in practice.

Yes, I enjoy baskketball very much. I also enjoy reality. Comparing Caleb Swanigan, after three summer league games, to a young Charles Barkley is not realistic. I'm thrilled with the Swanigan pick. He was my original choice at 26, then after reading negative comments about his defense at the draft combine, I switched to the Jordan Bell camp. Now, I'm back on Team Biggie. I'm thrilled we have him and think he was a steal at 26, but I also realize he's not the next Charles Barkley or even the next Draymond Green (he hasn't kicked a single player in the nuts, yet).

Have you not seen the multiple threads criticizing the Collins pick, asking if we picked the wrong Collins? Same over reaction, in the opposite direction, to posters comparing Swanigan to Barkley and Draymond. You can't project the success, or failure, of either player based on 3 summer league games. I enjoyed the first two games. The third game was a real snoozer after Connaughton and Collins went out, but I realize these are just summer league games. Nothing more.

bullshit...it's fun and interesting to make this sort of comparison...you can water it down and buzz kill all day but it doesn't make you Spock ...I'm enjoying the hell out of this young kid's game and excited for his success.....but hey.....I think your take on my post is BORING!!!!

sure you can....and guess what...you don't even have to be correct...you can just project wild success....I predict 54 wins this season too.

Sure, if you're willing to suspend your belief in reality, you can project anything you want.

Yet you still took the time to read it and respond to it multiple times...

I think I may be the only poster in this forum that gets consistently labeled as both a homer and a hater. I prefer it that way. It proves I'm neither.

bullshit.....somebody just like me saw a young Barkley and compared him to a great player after he was drafted...and it was real. You're just watering it down for your own reality belief..which is fine...just don't mess with my fun while doing it..I project Swanigan will be something really special...book it.
