Nor do I. However, I don't think you can be considered a great player without at least being considered for the all-star team. Think of it this way: All-star selection -> does not equal a great player Great players -> will get selected for the all-star team. They are not mutually exclusive. Again, these are not mutually exclusive. He may be elite at scoring, but there's more to the game than that.... Like defense, passing, etc. Being elite in one area doesn't make him an elite player.
As long as we're into posting things about how the Blazers are predicted to be mediocre at best, here are the over/under win totals Vegas is showing for the Western Conference. Our Blazers are projected at 41.5 wins and last in the Northwest Division. Western Conference Northwest Oklahoma City Thunder 50.5 Utah Jazz 48.5 Denver Nuggets 47.5 Minnesota Timberwolves 44.5 Portland Trail Blazers 41.5 Pacific Golden State Warriors 62.5 Los Angeles Lakers 48.5 Los Angeles Clippers 35.5 Phoenix Suns 28.5 Sacramento Kings 25.5 Southwest Houston Rockets 54.5 New Orleans Pelicans 45.5 San Antonio Spurs 43.5 Memphis Grizzlies 34.5 Dallas Mavericks 34.5
They are far to genorous for teams ahead of us such as Pels, Denver, Lakers, Spurs, OKC...Blazers should be in the top ten easy
Two things that come to mind: 1) that means melo isnt elite lol. Which makes sense, i suppose. 2) if this is the case... Then we are ranked too high... Or just right. I dont know. But i know were not top 10. And thats fine.
If we cant do better than the Fakers, then trade Dame & CJ and start over. I say we finish ahead of LAL, Denver, OKC & Minnesota. Plus I think SA & NO will be in the thick of it.
Why? It's not true! We actually watch the team. People disregard our team because it's in a little city in the NW that no one cares about. It has always been this way.
How? We won 49 games last year with the same starting lineup. People disregard because of small market. And we got swept which we have to accept.
Um, he's been on the "snubs" list the past two years. https://theundefeated.com/features/...s-joel-embiid-mike-conley-karl-anthony-towns/ https://fadeawayworld.com/2018/01/25/top-8-all-star-snubs-this-season/[/QUOTE]
Remember, Vegas is all about getting bets on both sides. Not on what they think is the pick, or the median or mode projection. Otherwise, the O/U for GSW might be 70. I think there's a decent amount of people going to Vegas that think the Blazers are fools' gold and will win <41. Seems like Vegas does, too. Ergo, our O/U.
