They were sloppy in this game, no doubt. I don't think anyone ever said they weren't. I don't care about 1 game or 2 games, I just find it funny that if an outsider read 95% of the in game threads they would think this team was battling for the top pick. Funny stuff.

Again, all good. I have no issue with it. You guys are 100% entitled to your opinions and comments. I just find it funny is all.

We've beaten all comers??? We have STRUGGLED AND LOST to TB and Boston, who I feel are the two teams we will have to go through in the East. Klein is a HUGE piece for us, which is why I asked when he's returning. He's a big piece of our PP, and it has struggled a TON with him gone. But you're cockiness about we've beaten all comers, when we clearly haven't and have struggled all year with Boston and TB is laughable. That's some pure blah blah blah bs from you.

Nope not easy at all. It's just the way it is with this club. When you go to the finals and then have this kind of year the goal is clear. Anything less is a major disappointment. Last year was a big surprise to all of us. Going into the playoffs this year is going to be like 1994 to me.

Of course the first round pairings will be very interesting. We shall see what happens.

And we beat Boston, and Wash, and LA, and the Ducks, and the Hawks, and the Preds. And we haven't played TB this year.

Again, it is what it is. You guys will do what you do in here...all good man.

and to say let the chips fall where they may lie is a HUGE cop out. You don't let them fall wherever if you can prevent them from falling or see a teams struggle and hope they don't have to play against that type of team. Boston and TB are bad matchups for us. I'd favor us against everyone else in the east, including Washington if we stay out of the box against Ovie. But I'm sorry, I can't sit here and say we've beaten all comers when there's two teams in the east in the playoffs that play a type of game that we struggle mightily against.

It would be nice this year if we could play a couple of quick series the first 2 like we did in 94

I happen to think we are going to play Boston in round 1. If not them I think Detroit. I say that because I expect the Pens to win at Ottawa tomorrow night. And I see Boston with a real tough schedule to end the season all on the road. And after seeing the Canes get beat by the Sabres, I think Detroit will get 99 points. The Pens will get 99 points. The Bruins will get 97 points...but if they can win at Wash or at TB they can get to 99 also and we'll play Detroit.

    We'll see...

I just realized. The Pens better wake up or they can be out of the playoffs. The Ottawa game for them tomorrow is huge.

Okay..as the # 1 team in the NHL I PRAY we don't get Boston in round 1 or TB in the ECF...LOL. We CANNOT beat those teams.

Don't let the chips fall where they may. Get angry and complain...LOL.

    I am very afraid...

    All good 94...:).

You CANT PICK AND CHOOSE when we beat and lose to teams and use that as evidence. You say we beat LA and have played TB this year, yet we beat LA a LONG time ago and they beat us more recently. We beat Boston a while back and they beat us more recently. You're cherry picking your stats and using a flawed argument using those stats.

Beat Jersey and then tank the game to Ottawa.

No, what I'm saying is those are two teams that we will struggle against. You want to think we're this amazing team with almost no flaws. Take off your homer glasses for just a few minutes against these aggressive forechecking teams and realize that, while we have a great team, those teams expose our biggest flaw...lack of size. We have great speed, and if we can stretch out opposing teams and counter their weak forechecking we will beat them 9 outta 10 times. But these big physical teams that know how to forecheck and force us to play a slower, more deliberate game can beat us because they neutralize our best asset..speed.

I am not cherry picking anything...just stating facts.

And I find it funny you say you can't pick and choose and then say I am afraid to play the Bruins or TB.

Again all good man. We'll play who we play, and from there let the chips fall where they may.

I fear no team and I know we can lose to any team. Just go play.

So the fact that I said we can lose to any team and clearly we have issues with being sloppy in our own end, and then followed that up by saying ALL teams have flaws = me saying we have almost no flaws.

    Yeah that adds up...LOL.

All good 94. I hope we don't play Boston or TB or we might as well pack it in after game 4.

I simply don't share your opinion that we need to avoid certain teams. We are the # 1 team in the NHL. We'll play who we play. CLEARLY we can lose to those teams and clearly we can beat those teams. From there it will be what it will be.

And BTW...that doesn't mean I wouldn't rather play the Wings or Pens...I WOULD. But if we draw the Bruins in round 1 (we cannot play TB until the ECF) then so be it. Just go win. And if we lose to them in round 1 a great season turns into a bad season.

So YES I want the Pens or Wings in round 1...BY FAR...but I cannot control that. If we get the Bruins we get the Bruins. And right now I think we'll get the Bruins. If the Sens beat the Pens tomorrow night I will change that opinion and believe we'll get the Pens or Sens, but I think the Pens beat the Sens, and somehow we end up with the Bruins. Hope I am wrong...

What you hope for is that at least in round one you get a favorable match up. Lets see what happens with the final seeds.
