Bonds was a great player, who suddenly discovered that a couple of high-profile cheaters were now considered the best players in the game and were media darlings. So, because he HAD to be the best player in the game, he joined them. I understand his mindset. He did not have the ability to resist as did, say, Fred McGriff.

Bonds was not the only cheater. There were HUNDREDS of cheaters. How about Lenny Dykstra? Kevin Elster? etc. He is being unfairly singled out because he has been a jerk to the media and baseball's front office. He's not the only asshole in baseball, and I'm sure he isn't the biggest asshole in baseball. He's never committed a felony, beaten his wife or kids, threatened someone with a loaded weapon, or had a substance abuse problem. He's never been arrested for DWI. Yet in Bud Selig's world, what Bonds has done is sufficient to get him abolished from baseball--once, of course, they no longer need him to create revenue upon becoming the HR king.
